"No, no, I insist, please. It's okay, the least I can do is give you a little food," Kadachi insisted, even subconsciously giving Met puppy dog eyes while the snake now stuck its tongue out at Met cutely

Met looked down at the snake, wondering what its deal was. He looked back up at Kadachi and sighed, putting his hands down. "Okay, fine. I guess." The owl hooted softly atop his head, flapping his wings.
Kadachi grinned at that, and the snake wiggled happily before nestling around Kadachi's neck again. "Thank you," he hummed with a wide, almost child-like grin
"So, what will we do all night?" Met asked with a small head-tilt. He was reminded of what he would have to do for night-clothes, but decided he wouldn't worry about it until later.
"Well, I could show you some of the gardens. You said you liked insects, and there's a small glass dome at the very top that we keep the garden and insects and such," Kadachi suggested
"Oooh, that would be nice," Met said with a smile, looking outside. "But it is dark. Unless you have fire-flies, we will not be able to see anything." Secretly, Met hoped they had the bright little bug.
"We have all sorts of fireflies, as well as lamps and such for the gardens. This is partly a magic store, remember?" Kadachi said with a small grin
Met grinned back, nodding. "Nice. Well, I'd love to see it. Is it nice, at this time in the evening?"
"In my opinion, when it's darker is the best time to see it," Kadachi answered, his smile only widening now as he looked up at Met, the snake now licking his chin again
Met smiled a bit wider and straightened in his posture after realizing he was slouched. "Let's go, then. It'll be great."
Kadachi nodded, smiling as he began to lead the way to a spiral staircase that led up to where, if you looked up, a glass dome could be seen at the top of the building
Met followed and the small owl hooted indignantly at the movement, flapping its wings. Met giggled softly but otherwise ignored it, resisting the urge to look up.
Kadachi grinned as he led the way to the staircase, mentally thanking the gods that the building was actually relatively short compared to the surrounding ones
Met hummed softly as he ducked out of the way of the small enclosure, following him up the steps. His heavy feet made the steps creak.
Kadachi led the way up, chuckling a little as the snake began licking his cheek again. It wasn't a long walk, and they were up on the top floor relatively soon
Met slowly followed him into the top glass dome, smiling rather nervously now. The owl hooted softly to the other Mind Reader, flapping his wings.
Kadachi looked around for a moment before smiling, leading Met to a small clearing. "On the count of three, you're gonna clap with me, alright?" he said
Met nodded a little, tilting his head a small bit and raising his hands. "I'm… er… ready."
"Alright, three…two…one…go!" Kadachi said, grinning almost childishly as he clapped, the snake beginning to wiggle excitedly around his neck
The owl started to hoot rather excitedly as Met clapped with Kadachi, looking incredibly confused, but he seemed to be having fun.
"So– what no–"
Abruptly, the gardens lit up with all manner of glowing insects and animals, fireflies flashing to life and illuminating them in many different colors. The flowers and plants lit up as well, their glow softer than the fireflies
Met gasped at the sudden flash of gentle light, and he looked all around. The tall adult looked most like a child as he spun around, looking at small dots of fireflies and staring at awe at the glowing flowers.
"Welcome to the gardens," Kadachi said warmly, watching as a few small animals with similar colorations pranced around the flowers and ferns
Met watched a firefly buzz over then off again, his mouth half-open. "It's incredible!"
"Yeah?" Kadachi asked, smiling warmly as a weasel-lizard crawled over to them, wriggling around Met before twirling up his leg to curl around his waist, peering up at him with big, curious eyes
Met gasped softly as he watched it, his eyes just as big as the animal's he was staring at. "Er… hello," He said slowly, slowly lowering his arms to boop its small snoot. It was really quite cute and cuddly looking.
The weasel squeaked and sneezed, its little head shaking before it looked up at him again with big, innocent eyes. It tittered curiously, nosing at Met's tummy and almost putting its head down his pants
Met squeaked and hastily grabbed up the weasel, blushing fierecely. "Please don't," He whispered softly, slowly letting go of th fluffy little animal. He swallowed with a small giggle at himself. Freaking out over a little weasle weasling itself into his clothes.
The weasel squeaked and wiggled, his fluffy tail wagging and causing the silver scales on it to jingle like a bell. It looked adorable, his fur glowing even brighter as it wrapped around Met's arm to nibble his thumb
Met watched the silvery scales jingle and flash, looking absolutely amazed with the enrapturing animal. He wanted to take it home and take care of it for as long as he (or it) lived. But he probably wouldn't be allowed to do that.
