Runner pulled a slice and took a bite, nodding after a few moments of chewing, and swallowed. "This is good."
She attempted to speak through half a cinnamon roll, failed, then quickly chew it to speak. "This is my favorite place to go in Clojiynn. Peaceful and good food. Win-win."
"Its peaceful cause no one is here."
She pointed at him. "Exactly. This place is sponsored by the school, so it's normally only busy when the students come here after school or during lunch. I skip most of the time, so I come here to hang with Ali and Lydia."
He shrugged, taking another bite. "Makes sense."
She stared at him, lips twitching up slightly as she suppressed a grin–she more than likely had food in her teeth.
He tilted his head, pausing mid-bite. "What?"
She shrugged, still half-smiling. "Nothing. Just that most would consider this a date. Minus the breakdown, we've checked all the boxes–two young people having a nice meal, a heart to heart conversation, physical contact, getting along nicely, more than likely gonna see each other again." she ticked off each thing as she spoke.
He smiled slightly. "Is that what you wanna call it?"
She shrugged again, acting indifferent. "Sure. What else would it be?"
His smile grew as he took another bite.
"Hmm." She quickly snatched his other piece, taking a bite before he could stop her.
He looked at her for a moment, then reached over and grabbed a cinnamon bun
"Hey!" She lept up to grab it back. "My precious!"
"Oh, the hypocrisy!"
"Once a thief, always a thief. It's thieving 101, really." She leaned over the table to take it from him.
He quickly took a bite out of it and handed it to her.
She scowled and threw a handful of jelly beans at him. "Smartass."
"'Once a thief, always a theif,'" he quoted, laughing.
She seethed. "You have five seconds."
(She's not really mad, just so you know.)
"You're getting mad at me for something you just did," he said, tilting his head.
"Four."
"If you want to attack me, quit counting and do it. If not, please give me my slice of pizza back."
She smirked. "What's the fun in that? Three."
He shrugged, taking another bite of the slice in his hands. "Next one is two, if you need any help."
"That's it." She jumped around the table and latched into him, dragging him out of the seat and pulling him into a head lock.
((Would they be equal in strength?
((Magical? Yes. Physical? Probably not. She's a trained warrior with muscle, not to mention a dragon shapeshifter.))
He let himself go limp for a moment, thinking of what to do with a calm expression. He then, after grabbing a stray strand of magical energy from the air, sent a small bast of energy into her gut. It wasn't enough to hurt, but it loosened her hold on her neck just enough for him to slip out.
