He studied her face, judging her sincerity, then letting out and inward sigh. So I do have a chance.

She smirked, recognizing the look he had on his face. She stepped back again, spreading arms dramatically. "So, do I look decent for society?" She wore a cream crop top that brushed her ribs, exposing some of her scars–including the large and very prominent one running up the middle of her stomach–and dark blue ripped skinny jeans. Her gold hair was a mess from the attack of the comforter, and her feet were bare.
"Are you gonna walk out there barefoot, or am I gonna have to carry you?" He asked, decided to forgo the comment of the hair.
(Never mind, my computer was just going insane
She grinned and brushed past him. "I think I'll go barefoot. A subtle act of rebellion." Even as she spoke, she slipped on sandals and grabbed some cash off of the bed stand. "Good to go?"
(?)
He shrugged. "Yeah, let's go." He frowned for a moment. "Do you think Cin is mad at me?"
She ushered him out, shutting and locking the door behind them before leading him through the dormitory. "No. Just concerned. She knows what it's like to unravel family secrets that might not be pleasant."
"Is there any way I can talk to her, too?"
She frowned at his line of questioning. "Why?" She pouted. "Had enough of me already?"
"No, I could hang with you forever. It's just that I said some dickhead things and need to apologize."
She seemed to brighten at his comment. "Hmm. Eat with me first, then I take you to Cinthia. Deal?" She skipped ahead of him, walking backwards. They were heading towards a staircase.
"Uh, you do know that you heading for a staircase, right?"
She spun around, "Whoops." then glanced back at him. "So? Do we have a deal?"
"Yeah, of course." He thought about it for a moment. "Or I could stay for a little while after…?"
She grinned, clearly pleased. "I like the second option better. Their dessert is the best!" She grabbed his hand and quickly led him down the stairs and outside. To their right was a ginormous building with a sign saying 'CU'. Cheers and booms were heard from it. To the left was a street heading farther in the sprawling city.
"CU? Sounds like a party in there."
Tess looked at the building with longing. "That's Clojiynn University. My school. It's tournament day. War Games start next week, so they're throwing a little something extra to get us prepared."
He tilted his head. "Hm. What type of university is this?"
"Hero training. School for demigods to prove their worth and be able to travel all over the place to do good. Students separate themselves into teams for the entirety of the time we're here. Each team is given a rank based in the amount of points they have. Points are given to individual members or to the entire group."
"…Yeah, I'll just stick with wandering around. More my style, and a whole lot less dangerous."
Tessa grinned. "We're gifted ichor once we prove we won't abuse the privilege. It prevents deaths."
"What's life if it doesn't end? You're living for nothing, gives it no purpose."
Her face fell. "I'm an Immortal Demigod, daughter of a high tier god. With or without Ichor, I'll live until someone of more power kills me." She didn't have the nerve to say that Runner's father just might be the one person who would. Either that or the person Agdrin answered to.
He shrugged. "Who knows, I might be immortal too. Everything's still confusing for me."
((Couldn't Runner do it, too, since he was made for the job?
((Probably, but he'd be around the same power level, so it'd take quite a bit. He definitely can't kill Cinthia and her siblings. They're two levels higher.))
"I hope so." Tess said in Italian.
He tilted his head. "Huh?"
She shook her head and plastered on a smile. "Nothing. Just gibberish. Ready to grab a bite?"
