Kadachi found himself humming along as well, smiling faintly as he looked outside, waiting for the familiar sight of the store to show up any second now

Met soon looked out to the side, spotting the store and slowing down. "Is that it?"

Kadachi peered out the window, and after a moment he nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that's it. Hermes Flower Shop," he hummed with a small smile

"Sweet," Met hummed softly, turning off the radio and pulling into the driveway of the little shop.

Kadachi stepped out once the car had been parked, smiling warmly as he did so. "This is the place," he said, gesturing to the old brick-and-mortar building covered in moss

Met pulled out his keys and shoved them in his pocket, standing out of his car and smiling warmly at the place.
"It's really old-school. I like that."

"Yeah?" Kadachi asked with a small, shy smile. He made his way over to the building, pulling his keys out before making his way over to the door

Met returned the small smile with one of his own and trotted quickly to catch up with Kadachi. He looked up, grinning at the old sign and mortar bricks. He hasn't seen a building like this in a while.

Kadachi unlocked the door, which jingled softly as they walked inside. It was rather cozy, lined with bookshelves and a small, quick-running stream flowing through the floor

Met looked around, his grin slowly turning into a smile. "Wow. It's so nice in here." He was telling the truth, too. He loved the atmosphere and the smell of the stream running through the little store.

"Thanks," Kadachi said shyly, his cheeks flushing a little at the compliment. He flipped the lights on, causing multiple creatures to look up curiously from their perches around the room

Met jumped as he was face-to-face with a tiny little owl-lizard mix with gleaming silver scales and three eyes (hope you don't mind that I took one, lol. This little owl is a mind reader like Met, and I thought it'd be cool symbolization).
"O-oh my!" He exclaimed with a beam at it. It hooted softly at him.

(it's adorable, of course we can keep it)

Kadachi smiled warmly as he walked over to Met, a feathered snake with many small, brightly colored wings flying over to them, curling around the two like some sort of elaborate ribbon

(Yay!)

The owl glanced to Kadachi before flying up and plopping itself down frankly onto Met's fuzzy hair. Met had a weird expression on his face, but he was smiling.
"What is going on?" He asked, sounding amazed.

"The animals like those that aren't fully human," Kadachi said, smiling as the flying snake draped itself like a heavy scarf across his shoulders. A weasel and a cat had made an appearance as well, though the cat seemed part fish and the weasel had feathers as well

The owl nested itself in the hair of its new human, hooting and staring at Kadachi through wide eyes.
Met chuckled. "Er, yeah, I noticed."

"Aww, that one in particular likes you, it seems. He's a newbie, and a bit shy, so I was wondering if they'd ever warm up to everyone," Kadachi said with a warm smile

Met's gaze flitted up in an attempt to look at his new friend. "Er, yeah, he does, huh? Do you know why?"

"They're mind readers, so I suppose it's only natural for one to gravitate towards the human equivalent," Kadachi answered with a sweet smile as he went to pet the owl gently

"Oh," was Met's shy reply as he reddened in the cheeks. The owl shrunk back a little to continue watching Kadachi, one of its eyes trained on his eyes and the other two on Kadachi himself.

Kadachi smiled and gently rubbed the owl's head with two fingers before moving them away, knowing the owl probably wouldn't want to be pet a lot. The flying snake had leaned over to begin nudging at Met's hand, curiously licking it

Met jumped a little and looked down at the snake, looking absolutely confused but amused nevertheless. The owl relaxed from its tense state, cuddling back into Met's hair.
"So– er… what will happen to the owl once we leave?" Met asked after his small jump.

"Well, usually I leave the animals to their own little areas. They have specially delegated ones that they can't leave unless someone's here to make sure they don't misbehave. But they're really too sweet to do anything wrong, we just have a few troublemakers here and there," Kadachi said with a small chuckle

Met blinked a couple times and shook his head. "I mean like… he's not attatched to me, is he? He won't get sad if I move him off before I go?"
The minute owl hooted softly and burrowed deeper into Met's hair.

"Uh…I guess he is gonna get sad a little from the looks of it…" Kadachi said, smile faltering a little as he watched the little owl burrow into Met's hair. "Well…If you're worried you could always stay the night? My apartment's up close to the top of the building," he said with a small smile

"O-oh. I can stay. I will stay if it helps him. I don't want him getting sad," Met fretted over the owl, reaching up to stroke its head gently.

"I'm sorry for this, the animals just…have their ways," Kadachi chuckled awkwardly, rubbing at the back of his neck while the snake licked his cheek

The owl hooted softly but let its head be stroked gently.
"Hey, that's okay," Met said with a shrug. "I'm off tomorrow, too."

"I'll make it up to you, I promise. I'll make breakfast and coffee and everything tomorrow, on me," Kadachi said with a small smile, just ignoring the snake's insistent licks

(I just thought of the dumbest thing h e l p
Literally the only reason my tired brain thought the snake was doing that was because it was telling Kadachi it was helping him get laid xD)

Met shook his head hastily, raising his hands. "No, you don't have to worry about that. I don't want you worrying 'bout feeding me."
