I let a little bit of mischief dance in my eyes. “Would she be satisfied if he carried her to the bathroom?” I inquired, tilting my head.
I let a little bit of mischief dance in my eyes. “Would she be satisfied if he carried her to the bathroom?” I inquired, tilting my head.
"Very satisfied," I confirmed, scooting forward to wrap my legs around his waist. "Very satisfied, indeed."
I responded by slipping my arms around her waist and hoisting her up in my arms. “I feel like you were meant to be in my arms…” I murmured. “I’ve never felt so complete otherwise.”
I nestled my nose in the crook of his neck, humming in contentment.
"I completely agree…." My arms tightened around his shoulders, causing Scylla to hop down from her perch.
Thank you, I conveyed to her mentally, hoping she understood.
I carried her to the bathroom, gently setting her to the floor when we got there. “Here you go,” I muttered. “I also had Key get a spare toothbrush for you last night. It’s the green one.”
A smile tugged at my lips.
"You're very thoughtful, boyfriend of mine," I teased lightly, flicking his nose. "Thank you again. For everything."
I scrunched my nose when she flicked it, grabbing her hand to press a kiss on her knuckles. “What was that for, Elle?” I quirked an eyebrow at her silliness.
I lifted my shoulders lightly. "You, I guess."
Tugging my hand from his grip, I turned to the sink and grabbed the toothbrush. "I'll clean up the mess in here, you should go lie down. I'll be right there."
I wrapped my arms around her stomach, pressing a light kiss to her neck.
“I’ll help,” I murmured against her skin. “You brush your teeth. I’ll clean the mess.”
"If you want to…." I trailed off, my voice slightly distorted by the toothbrush in my mouth. "But you don' have to.."
I pulled away from her.
“It’s not much, anyway,” I shrugged. “So it’s fine.”
I gave a slight shrug. "If you say so…."
Once finishing up, I decided to walk back into the room with Elle in my arms. What? I liked having her there, especially when she had her arms wrapped around my neck. It felt nice.
I gently set her on the bed, locking eyes with her, giving her a crooked smile. “Well, I suppose you have to do what you said you would.”
A blush rose to my cheeks, but I ignored it and played along, falling backwards onto the mattress with a huge grin. "If you think I'm gong to initiate anything, you are sorely mistaken. If you want a kiss, come and get it."
I rolled my eyes, climbing on top of her, quirking an eyebrow. I peered down at her, the smile still on my features, except it resembled more of a smirk. Despite how nonchalant she was being about this, the blush of hers proved how flustered she was.
“Oh well,” I shrugged casually. “You brushed your teeth for no reason then, I guess.”
"It's call basic hygiene," I replied sarcastically, but desperation leaked into my voice. "C'mon, Cole. Kiss me? Please?"
I hummed thoughtfully, scrunching my nose as I did so. “Should I, though?” I mused before shrugging. “I think so, yes.”
I sealed our lips together in a warm kiss, eyes closing, fingers making their way in her hair. Her soft lips pressed against mine, driving me insane, and I’d just started kissing her. It was baffling, but I decided not to dwell much on it.
I hummed happily, burying my fingers in his dark curls. “Love you~”
I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulled him closer, but it wasn’t meant to be suggestive or sexual. I only wanted him closer to me, nothing else.
“Love you, too,” I murmured against her lips, a smile breaking out when she pulled me closer to her. “We should sleep. It’s late, and we have to wake up at seven in the morning.”
“You’re right…” I murmured, breaking away with a resigned sigh. “Cuddle me?”
I smiled softly, falling back on my side and pulling her towards me. I wrapped our legs together, my head buried in her hair.
“Of course,” I murmured. “You don’t even need to ask, love.”
I pressed my forehead against his chest. Inhaling his familiar, comforting scent, I let my eyes drift shut. “Gnight….”
“Goodnight, Elle,” I murmured, letting her soft breathing guide me into sleep.
[TIME SKIP - Elle’s POV, the next day]
I waited for Colton outside the classroom door, too anxious to enter by myself. A private class with the new teacher, who I knew absolutely nothing about? No thank you. But a letter had arrived at Colton’s door, a summon for the end of the day which instructed him to bring me along as well, so there was no escaping this.
I walked over to the classroom Altair summoned me to, finding Elle standing by the door. Wasn’t she going to go in? It wasn’t as if I was complaining, though. It was great that she waited for me.
I gave her a small smile.
“Hey, there,” I murmured. “Are you ready for the day’s training?”
“Hey,” I answered, barely holding myself back when all I wanted to do was wrap my arms around him. But we couldn’t do that, not here, in the middle of the hallway. “Yeah. You?”
I nodded before moving to open the door, wearing my usual blank expression. Altair was sitting on his seat, writing something before he looked up. His warm eyes greeted mine.
“Ah, Your Highness, Elliot,” he smiled, standing up. “I’m glad you could join me. How was your day?”
“Good, and yours?” I responded with clipped assurance, slipping into the role I played in front of most teachers.
Altair continued to smile, though it was now a smaller one.
“It was good, thank you,” he nodded softly. “I guess you’re curious about why I’ve called you here, right?”
I nodded, quirking an eyebrow, acting as if I had something better to be doing.
“Well, I think it’s a good idea to first get acquainted with your personal abilities,” he started, clasping his hands together. “I’ve heard a little about your abilities from hit teachers, Elliot. Could you explain how they work?”
I clasped my hands behind my back, careful to maintain my stiff, straight-backed posture.
"I have two main powers; water manipulation and Windsong, both of which are linked directly to my emotions. The first is fairly standard, but, ah…. pipes have been known to burst if I get agitated. As for the latter…. Windsong is, in essence, singing to hypnotize."
