They could be at the hospital, I gues??))

Jaylin pointed to the sign. "That's our place. Hopefully if there are people inside they'll just let us right in without any trouble."

"Well, if nothing else, I'm armed, and I can only hope they aren't," Pollux said.
They drew closer to the hospital, and Pollux found himself a little more scared than he previously had been. In fiction, usually hospitals were one of the most dangerous places during a zombie apocalypse. However, this one had been abandoned for some time now, and was probably clear of most, if not all zombies. He could only hope.

As they reached the front of the hospital, Jaylin turned to face Pollux. "Remember, only use violence as a last resort." She had just met him, but she assumed that he would listen to what she said. At least, that's what she was hoping for.

"Well, yeah… It's not like I set out to hurt people, you know. It's just… I've had a lot more turn hostile on me in these past several weeks than I ever have before, so I'm prepared," Pollux reassured her, "Believe it or not, I was all lined up to go to medical school and spend a lifetime helping people before everything went to hell."
He made sure his gun was loaded and decided to lead the way in. The front door was blocked off.

Logan heard the sound of the door through the silent hallways of the hospital. Zombies? My usual customers just knock, She thought, grabbing her spiked baseball bat and walking calmly up to the second floor. She peered out the window above the door the sound came from, seeing who it is. People? Never seen these two before. I should go let them in.
She hopped back down the stairs and to the door, her arm idly holding the bat beside her. She slipped a key out of her jacket pocket and unlocked the door, stepping aside to let the man and women inside. "Come in. We shouldn't talk with the door open."

"Thanks," Pollux said, "So it's safe in here, I take it? It's been a while since I found an abandoned building of any sort not taken over by zombies."

"Yep. Been calling this baby home since the outbreak," Logan told him. She switched which hand she was holding the bat with before extending her right hand. "I'm Logan."

Jaylin kept quiet, observing the area around her. No signs of any equipment. Maybe everything is in the back? She held on to her backpack straps as she looked around, keeping herself planted slightly behind Pollux.

Pollux put away his gun and held out his hand. "Pollux."
Right away, he changed gears from introductions to finding what he came here for. "I'm looking for an electron microscope. I have some samples of infected blood with me. You know where I might be able to find that?"

"Nope, but you can search this place as much as you want." Logan began walking back towards the pharmacy. "If you find any corpses I missed, be sure to tell me. I'm usually in the pharmacy."

"Corpses? As in…dead bodies?" Jaylin asked nervously. She really didn't want to stumble upon a dead person while walking around the hospital.

"Alright. I'll be on my way. Might spend the night here, too, if that's alright with you," Pollux said.
With that, he started looking over the signs on the halls for any indicator of where a lab might be. Imaging lab, one read. That wasn't right though. He walked a little further to a full map of the hospital on one of the walls.

Logan looked at the girl. "Yeah, it's the zombie apocalypse, baby! And this is a hospital. How many people do you think were infected, then infected more and more and killed patients and staff alike? Also, there's the thing about all the sick people who were here dying already who couldn't receive care, and got killed. I had to clean allllll of that shit up. By myself." She called down the boy. "We have plenty of rooms, so you have lots of choices. Just don't raid the kitchen!"

"Don't worry, I stole food before I got here!" he called back. He would ask about medicine later.
Pollux finally came to the conclusion that the lab would be on one of the upper floors, and he started to go that way.

(uhhh quick question, where should Amber be?)

(You think she could maybe sneak in?)

Jaylin shivered at the thought of there being dead bodies in the hospital, but she shook off the feeling before following Pollux. "If we run in to a dead body, I'm leaving." She stated quietly.

"If we come across a dead body, I'm using it for more samples," he said, "I'd rather not, but we have to make the best of it."
He started walking up the stairs, carefully searching around every turn before proceeding. Once he got to the top, he started walking to the left of the staircase and towards the back of the building, sort of away from all the hospital rooms and waiting areas.

(possibly, but I'm going to sleep soon so I can't be on for much longer)

(I probably will too, so it's fine if you just do a post or two to establish where she is, or just wait until later. Either way, they should still be in the hospital when you post probably.)

While Pollux searched for his microscope or whatever it was, she hadn't been listening, Jaylin tried to connect to the WiFi. She also made a mental map of where the nearest exits we're, just in case. One can never be too careful. Jaylin thought, noting the window at the end of the hallway.

"Oh, well what do you know?" Pollux said as he drew to the end of the hallway.
This looked like it was it. He went to open the door, but it was locked. He examined it closely. It probably opened inwards. There had to be some way to either pick the lock or break the door down.
"Hey, any clue how to pick a lock?" he asked.

Pro tip: Logan would have all the keys))

(okay, I'll probably wait until I'm not so tired so I have more creativity lol)

(That's understandable. It's like 12:30 here, and idk how I'm functioning anymore.)
