He sighed before following him “babe what are you doing?”

Landyn goes quiet.

“L-Landyn?”

Landyn backs away as he heard laughter. "I-I thought they said they captured y-you…"

“Babe what’s going on?” He was scared for both of them.

"R-Run…" He pulled Alex along as the man from a week ago started chasing them.

Alex had enough common sense to run with him.

Landyn was panicking. And since his foot still hasn't completely healed he couldn't run that fast.

“Where should we go?!” He was similarly panicking

"I-I'm not sure…"
The man then grabs Landyn's arm*

Alex somehow had the strength to free Landyn’s arm from the man’s grip.

Which caused Landyn to scream. "G-Go…He dosesn't want you…"

“I’m not losing you!”

Landyn stops and starts crying. "If I lose one more person I could break…Just run…I'll be fine."

He shakes his head “Come on, we’re going to hide somewhere, call the cops, and we’ll be fine”

"Please…" Landyn yanked his arm free. "You don't need to be dragged into my life…" He looks back and pushes Alex and holds his shoulder. "GO."

Maybe this is what they had to do…instinct took control and he just did what he was told, getting the hell out of there. As soon as he was safe he called the cops.

They get there quickly as Landyn laid on the ground bleeding from his shoulder. They shoot the man's leg before he could get another shot fired. He stared at them as one picks Landyn up.
"That kid is crazy. His whole family is."
"The only crazy one I see is the man with a gun." The man starts shooting at them and Landyn watched as one of the offices shoot him. Dead. The man laid there lifeless.

Alex was there, as far as they’d let him get at least. He had no idea what was happening, all he could hear was gunshots, the only thing he could do was pray Landyn was okay. Because if Landyn was gone, that’d shatter his soul, and Alex would truly no longer exist.

Landyn calls Alex when he gets to a good hospital.

Alex almost automatically started sobbing when he heard Landyn’s voice.

"I told you…I'd be fine didn't I?" He nervously laughs.

He was almost unable to form words “I…I know” he sobbed again, even though he tried to choke it down.

He gives him the hospital and room. "I want to see you…"

“Okay…I’m on my way” He was there a few minutes later and he was still a complete wreck.

Landyn had bandages around his shoulder.

“A-are you okay?” His eyes were red from crying.

He nods and gives a sad smile. "Just a shot wound…Not much else…Also blood loss…"

He was trying not to cry again. “I was so worried about you!”
