I began to type a denial… but my thumbs stalled. They hovered above my screen for a few seconds, unable to move as I turned the question over in my mind. Finally, I settled for an answer as vague as what I hoped I wasn’t feeling.

I nearly snorted out loud at the irony. But, unlike Juliet or my other friends, I didn't think that a stupid crush on a Montague was catastrophic. I'd wait it out. It would blow over. Giving attention to my crazy teenage hormones would only make things worse.
