“You’re welcome,” I said, noticing her anxiousness. “Um, I suppose we should go now, huh?”
“You’re welcome,” I said, noticing her anxiousness. “Um, I suppose we should go now, huh?”
I shook my head.
"I'm going to go back down to Colton's room, if that's alright with you two. You can stay here and…. do whatever. Make out." A smile ghosted over my lips. "With the door locked, this time."
I got a bit pink in the face and scowled.
“Very funny, Elle,” I rolled my eyes. “Thank you for the suggestion, though. That’s exactly what we’ll be doing.”
Beside me, Andreas went pink. "Right. Um. Yes," he stammered awkwardly, which prompted a laugh to escape from my mouth. "Have fun, you two. See you tomorrow."
“But not too much fun,” I added, deciding I would like to tease her, too. “Keep it safe, kids.”
I flushed bright pink, barely resisting the urge to hide my face. “Shut up….”
I pulled her into another warm hug.
“Can’t stop, won’t stop~” I sang. “Anyway, do pay us a visit. We aren’t strangers.”
“I know,” I assured him, though my cheeks were still burning from his interesting comment. “I still live here. But I might be sleeping with Colton more often now, to prevent any…..mishaps…..in the morning.”
Suddenly realizing how awfully I worded my sentence, I hurried to Allen’s myself. “I mean—sleeping on his room. Not with him in… that way.”
(Allen’s myself? XD)
I laughed, shaking my head. “Right, of course, Elle,” I grinned cheekily. “Now hurry along. You don’t want your king to be waiting, now do you? He did tell you to come back to him…”
(***amend, sorry, stupid autocorrect)
“I hate you,” I muttered as Andreas clapped me on the back. “Goodnight, you two. Behave yourselves.”
A few minutes later, I found myself knocking on my boyfriend’s door again.
(It's all right~
Also, boyfriend. I feel extremely happy reading that word.)
Colton's POV:
I was lying on the bed, waiting for Elle to come back. I took a deep breath as Key made himself comfortable on my stomach. When he arrived, he demanded to know all the details. Of course, he would know I made the vow. It was a magical link–even bondmates felt it. Key was linked to Elle just as much as I was, though I wouldn't tell her that. When we would really get married, and I would perform the Oath again… truly as a king, it would be complete.
Finally, when someone knocked on the door, I didn't even need to ask who it was. I could recognize that energy anywhere. Opening the door, I looked into the eyes I loved looking in the most.
"Hey," I greeted rather breathlessly, my lips curled up into a small smile. "Welcome back."
(😊)
I practically stumbled through the doorway in my haste to get inside.
When I finally heard the satisfying click of a lock behind me, I sank into Colton’s warm embrace, burying my face in his chest. “I missed you..”
I wrapped my arms around her, keeping her on her feet as I breathed her in. "I missed you, too…" I murmured, planting a kiss on top of her head. "I was waiting. The bed suddenly felt empty."
“Well, I’m here now,” I murmured, going up on the tips of my toes to brush a kiss across his temple. “You can rest easy. Are you tired?”
"I suppose I should be honest, huh?" I chuckled, pressing my forehead against hers, eyes closed. "I am. Extremely tired. The voices are getting louder and harder to ignore. The control is getting stronger. Every time I close my eyes, I feel like I'm slipping. I'm afraid to fall asleep knowing I might not wake up as myself one day. But then you're here, and the voices become bearable, and that just makes me far more afraid because I might end up hurting you."
“Hey, hey.” I slipped my arms over his shoulders. “Everything is going to turn out fine, I promise. You’re not going to hurt me. Whoever that crazy bitch is, she isn’t going to regain control. You’re strong, and I’m here to help. Alright?”
I smiled at her, hugging her tighter. "Thank you, Elle," I murmured. "For everything. Thank you for coming here, for falling in love with me, for staying. Thank you for believing in me."
I went up on my tip-toes again to press a firm kiss to my boyfriend’s lips. “Colton, I’d do anything for you. And…” Here, a teasing light entered my eyes. “I hope you would, too, because I need to borrow some pyjamas again~”
I chuckled again, shaking my head, pecking her lips again. "Of course. I've already prepared, love. You don't even need to ask. They're on the chair."
“I love you~”
Grinning, I detached myself from Colton’s loving embrace and swiped the clean change of clothes from the chair. “I’ll be in the bathroom, you don’t have to wait for me.”
"I love you, too," I said to her softly, watching as she headed off to the bathroom. "And of course I'll wait for you. Need to cuddle you properly.
I blew him a rather cheeky kiss before pulling the bathroom door shut behind me. “Hey, Colton?” I called as an afterthought, biting my lower lip. “Can I have a shower, actually? Just really quick, if that’s okay.”
I laughed at her, shaking my head. She really was something, wasn't she?
"Go ahead," I said to her, taking a seat on the bed. "Take your time. My loving arms will be waiting no matter how long you take."
“Thank you…” I murmured, though I knew he probably couldn’t hear me through the thick door.
A few minutes later, I was standing beneath a steam of warm water, exhaling slowly through my nose as he soothing sound of sloshing filled the small room.
"So," Key made himself comfortable on my stomach, a smirk on his lips. "How does it feel, my dear Cole, having your girlfriend shower in your bathroom?"
I groaned in annoyance, trying to swat him away. Key laughed in return.
"Well, I'm going to enjoy Scylla's company," he said with a wink. "You enjoy yours, too, but not too much!"
I hated him sometimes.
I took my time drying my skin with one of Colton’s fluffy bath towels, enjoying the sensation of the water being scrubbed gently from my warm skin. It felt nice, using his belongings, moving around in his space….almost as if I was further adding to to the claim that I was his, and he was mine.
Once I was dressed in a loose, oversized shirt and pants, I slipped from the bathroom, dirty clothes in hand.
I don't think I could ever get used to seeing her in my clothes. Though she looked too small in my clothes, she looked beautiful. I swallowed before I blinked, trying to ignore the rapid beating of my heart. She could claim everything of mine as hers and I would, without a doubt, agree with her. I was hers. Everything that was mine belonged to her.
"You can put the clothes in my basket," I found myself saying. "As shocking as it might sound, I do my laundry by myself, so no one will find your clothes in my basket suspicious."
I did as he instructed, rubbing at my flushed cheeks as I cautiously approached him. “Do I look okay?” I murmured as I sat down beside him, tugging lightly at my neckline.
I pulled her to bed with me, not yet wrapping myself around her. I wanted to look at her a little bit more.
"You look more than okay," I breathed out, gently caressing her cheek. "I lose my breath every time I look at you."
“And I, you,” I responded quietly, tangling our legs together. “I’m all warm from my shower…. use that knowledge wisely, dear boyfriend.”
