Lighter listened to him with a curious expression, throwing his arm and the blanket around Jake. When he flushed, Lighter grinned. Jake was so cute.
The second his lover began to cry, Lighter throws himself at Jake. He pulled him tight, peppering his cheeks and face with kisses. “Jake… I never said I didn’t want to leave with you. I told you I can’t leave the gang. I want to live with you.” He murmured, planting more kisses across Jake’s face. “I love you a ton~ I would love nothing more than to live with you in our own apartment. And to just run away.”
Jake wipes his eyes a bit, closing his wet eyelashes when Lighter kisses him repeatedly across his face then opening them again, blushing. "I know but if you can't leave the gang how are we supposed to live together in peace?…I know that it's a lot to ask of you but I just liked the thought of it…" He looks at Lighter and smiles weakly when he hugs him for comfort. Then starts laughing a bit when Lighter kisses him on his face. "I love you too…! I would love for that to happen, we could just run off somewhere and live a normal life" Jake's eyes seemed to sparkle as he talked like it was an aspiring dream of his. "A family" he breathes and seems excited but knew that he was getting ahead of himself, so he tones it down a bit. "I-I mean…yeah, me too….it sounds nice" Jake seemed happy all of a sudden as if his mood changed suddenly.
“I know my love…” he whined, kissing Jake’s lips quickly. “I want that. To just run off together.” Lighter leaned in to kiss his lips again, offering as much comfort and support as he could in the only way he really knew how.
Lighter blushed at the mentioning of a family, leaning into his lover. “A family~ with you? Y-you’d consider a family with me~?” He asked warmly, lovingly running his fingers along Jake’s arm. “I’d love to have a family with you~”
Jake smiled at Lighter's warm kiss and how he offered comfort. "Then we should…as soon as possible~" He said as he moved closer to Lighter, snuggling against him, liking the warmness of the other male. Jake nodded eagerly when Lighter brought back up the topic of a family. "Of course I'd love to! It's all I've ever wanted" He said, a bit proud of himself for admitting it to his significant other. "I'd love to as well!" Lighter's willingness only fueled Jake's desire to obtain that objective. For once the dream of having a family was there, he never thought he would have a chance at that in his lifetime but there he was, brimming to the core with hope.
“As soon as possible~” He cooed Back, closing his eyes at the thought. It was a warm one. He could run off and start a family… a family with Jake. “Let’s make a family together.” Lighter stated firmly. He collapsed into Jake’s chest, snuggling close. “You could be my handsome husband~ someone I could always come home to and cuddle and kiss. You’d be mine and I would get to tell everyone that.” He grinned. “You’d be mine until we die.”
Jake hugged Lighter, a huge smile on his face, one that he would have never been capable of doing if he had stayed with his shit of a family. "Lets!" He runs his hands through Lighter's hair, his fingers getting stuck in his curls, Jake seemed to like doing this since he kept messing with Lighter's hair as he talked. Jake liked the possessiveness behind Lighter's tone. He finally fit in somewhere with someone who actually wanted him, like really wanted him. "I'd love to be yours~ As long as your mine as well~"
Lighter’s eyes slipped closed. He purred at the sensation of having his hair played with. It felt amazing. Not very many people wanted to. “I love you so much~! I want to be yours.” He hummed happily, pressing a kiss to Jake’s chin. “Now I think about it, you’ve even made me yours, love.” He smirked, shoving his hands up Jake’s shirt to feel along his perfect body. He couldn’t keep his hands to himself either, and even if it hurt him he wanted to be closer to Jake. “Trust me when I say, I’m never going to anybody else.”
Jake giggled at Lighter's flirtiness. "I'm glad that I've managed to do that~ I'll love you to death!!" He said kissing Lighter's forehead, smiling at the playful kisses Lighter was giving him. Jake suddenly turns completely red when Lighter puts his hands up his shirt. He seemed to blush harder at Lighter's words. Lighter made him feel an emotion no one else could. Jake brushed a curl of hair behind Lighter's ear as he pressed his lips to Lighter's. "Good 'cause I'll die of loneliness if you leave me" he muttered between the kiss.
“I’ll love you to death first~~!” He cooed, giggling softly. The blush Jake gave made his giggle return. Lighter couldn’t wait until the day they could live together in a nice home or apartment.
The moment Jake’s lips met his, Lighter’s grip tightened around his love. “I’ll never leave you.” He murmured back, slowly pushing Jake down onto the bed as he pushed his lover’s shirt up. He kissed him softly and sweetly. “I love you too much to leave.”
Jake laughed at Lighter's silly challenge. "No way! I'd do that first!" Jake's eyes softened seductively when Lighter's grip tightened around him. He was happy to hear that, that Lighter wouldn't leave him. It made him feel fuzzy with excitement. Jake's cheeks held a bit of pink tint in them as his back met the fluffy softness of the bed. Jake seemed a bit shyer when Lighter lifted his shirt up but welcomed the kiss, deprived of it even though it wasn't too long ago that they had done this. Where Jake's grey charcoal eyes once held violence and murder, there was compassion and innocence swirling together. "Me too~" He hummed.
Lighter purred, the sound heavy in his throat. “Mmhm…” he replied. The soft pink to Jake’s face was reflected in Lighter’s own face as he pressed another few soft kisses to Jake’s lips. He longed for his kisses, for his touch. And yet he was careful with himself for the first time in a long time. He was going to let himself heal as quickly as possible so he could once again feel Jake’s touch on his skin. “I love you~” he echoed, his kisses traveling to the rest of Jake’s face.
Jake laughed nervously, he wasn't used to being the one on the bottom in these situations, but nonetheless he enjoyed seeing Lighter from a different view. A small smiled played in his face. He couldn't get used to the fact that someone would would love him. "I love you too~" Jake heard a small bubbling noise and looked over to the pot. "Well, we could continue but you know where that's heading~ and we still need to eat" he said, but knowing that nothing was really going to happen, not until Lighter made a full recovery anyways.
Lighter himself was used to being the bottom when in a relationship with another male. But he had experience with his past female companions. He preferred the bottom, loving to be dominated.
He glanced at the pot, slowly sliding off of Jake. He grinned softly, snickering. “I wasn’t going to do anything too lewd to you.” He snickered, pulling the blanket over him. “Besides, I prefer to be submissive to you.”
Jake raised an eyebrow dramatically at Lighter "oh really? Not 'too' lewd? That sounds like danger to me, red flags and all" He laughed as Lighter let him get up. "Oh? Then you sound perfect for a possesive person like me~" He cooed as he got up and went over to the pot. He attempted moving it but burned himself instead a bit. He let out a string of curses as he snatched his hand back. "Dang that thing is hot" He stopped and smirked, feeling a pun formulating in his head. "But not as hot as you~" Jake said and the laughter got the better of him. He pours some soup into the bowl he had bought Lighter and lets it cool for a bit. He serves it to him, adding the spoon soon after. "Don't burn yourself it's still very warm" Jake said, laying on the bed beside Lighter as he ate.
Lighter purred innocently, nuzzling his head under Jake’s chin. “Not a red flag at all. And yes, perfect for you~” He hummed happily, pulling back so he could leave. Lighter watched him carefully, growling as his lover burned himself. “Jake! Be careful!” He called, frowning deeply.
The soup felt warm in Lighter’s hands. He pulled the bowl in a little closer sniffing at the contents. It smelt really good. “Let me see your hand. You’re the one who burned.” He demanded as he blew on the hot food.
(damn it, I'm sorry I haven't responded to this yet. I was so sure I had responded??)
Jake's heart warmed at the concern on his lover's face, even for something as insignificant as a small burn. "Yeah, that was my bad, should have checked it first" Jake watched the male soak up the aroma of the soup.
“Let me see your hand. You’re the one who burned.” Lighter said with a demanding voice. Jake smirked, some of his pearly white teeth showing through. He dramatically placed the hand he burned in Lighter's lap. "Take it away doctor, it's not good anymore," He said referring to his whole hand. Jake really couldn't take things seriously, especially when it was him who was the one getting hurt.
(Ahaha I do that too!)
Lighter snorted, shaking his head. “Yes, you should have.” The dramatic way Jake handed over well, his hand, made Lighter roll his eyes. He pulled Jake closer to him, planting a small kiss to his cheek. “You’re not going to lose your hand, drama queen.” He purred, setting his soup down to let it cool. “Let me go get burn cream, it’s my turn to help you.” He replied proudly, shifting his weight on the bed. The blanket was drawn more around him as he stood, stealing another kiss from his lover. “You’re addictive, my boyfriend.”
(same same dude lmao)
Jake giggled when Lighter rolled his eyes, he had never seen him do that before but he loved it, it was amusing. "Yeah, that would be real inconvenient. How else am I gonna shank people who try to come after you?" He watched Lighter get up and smiled happily when he got a kiss from his boyfriend. "Oh? So I'm addictive now? I think I like the sound of that" He laughed, remembering that he hadn't had nearly as much nicotine since he met Lighter. It was a good thing. "And thanks, I appreciate you caring for me, it's refreshing….it feels nice" He beamed.
“Hmm, maybe you’ll have to just stay by my side forever then.” He purred. A soft sigh left his throat at Jake’s comment, followed by a giggle. He smiled, winking. “You’re addictive enough I’m seriously considering dropping my cigarette problem so you don’t have to taste it.” He replied, smiling softly. “Maybe I won’t get so black-out drunk either.” He collected the burn cream Jake had just bought and grabbed a few bandaids. As he returned to fix Jake up he smiled. “How could I not care for you? You’ve done so much for me in two days than anyone in my life.” He said softly, pressing their foreheads together. “Now, just let me see your hand so I can fix you.”
"Oh you bet I will, there's no way you're getting rid of me now~" He said, displaying a cocky grin on his face. Lighter's wink dissolved the cockiness right out of him as he blushed, a surprised (Pikachu) expression on his face. With just one thing Lighter did his heart was already melting. "R-really? That's actually kinda good…looks like I'll be following that train of thought as well~" Jake laid himself out on the bed as Lighter went to get the cream. He was ready to crash and get some sleep. He gushed proudly at what Lighter said. "And those two days were just the beginning, my love~" He says laying out his arm at Lighter's command. "Alright, alright~"
“Good, because I want to be yours.” He purred, snickering at the blush and surprised expression. (( ・∇・)) “Mhmm, I only started after mum passed away. I do want to quit~” He explained, biting his lip at the thought. He missed his mother.
But now he had Jake. And Jake loved him and he loved Jake back. “I’m hoping they were only the beginning~ I want to spend an eternity with you.” His eyes softened and he took Jake’s hand, applying the burn cream before carefully bandaging it. After he finished, he moved to pick up his soup. “Come cuddle with me while I eat~~”
Jake took on a more serious and soft expression. "I'm sorry about your mom, you really miss her don't you?" He asked and smiled slightly when Lighter said he wanted to quit smoking. "Alright, how about I join you and we give it a go together? No more smoking from now on. It's a promise~"
Jake heard 'cuddle' and he was already snuggling up to Lighter on the bed as he ate. "We should get some rest after you eat. It's getting a bit late and I'm feeling the tiredness weigh down on me…" His eyes closed a bit as he spoke. "Tomorrow we should start planning on how we're gonna get you out of this mess…and maybe start booking some apartments in another state or something like that…" He muttered as he was sitting behind Lighter, arms wrapped around him protectively. He set his chin on Lighter's head to keep himself from closing his eyes and having his head tilt to the side in an almost passing out position.
"I do… a lot." He murmured, his eyes stinging with the tears he had run out of. He yearned for her return. Sure she could be a rather crude woman, but she was a good person. "Hmm~ I will add my promise to that promise." He leaned his head back to look at Jake as much as he could.
Lighter giggled at Jake's eagerness to cuddle. "We can rest after. You do look tired." He mumbled, leaning back into Jake. He shoveled the soup into his mouth, feeling starving. This was the first warm 'homemade' food he had eaten in awhile and it was heavenly. "I'm afraid to do it, but we can go to the officials… or a gang help center…" He whispered, finishing off his soup and placing the bowl aside. He looked fearfully to his lover, turning around and burying his face in Jake's neck. "Another state…"
Jake hugged Lighter tightly when he heard the hurt in his voice when he spoke about his mother. "I'm sorry…I wish I could help you with that…" He nodded when Lighter confirmed the deal. "Alright then lets!"
"A gang help center? I didn't know they had one of those around here, we could totally go…only if you want to though, you don't have to and I won't push you" Jake looked down at Lighter as he looked at him with fearful eyes. "We could move far away, even go as far as to move to a different country if you wanted…" He smiled, the tiredness in his face didn't erase the genuine warmness of Jake's smile. "I won't let anything happen to you, I'll be here by your side if you need me"
“You already do by being next to me~” he replied, smiling at Jake’s agreement to the plan.
“They have a gang helpline… they have to have a center. This city is riddled with gangs.” He murmured, flopping into the bed and pulling Jake with him so he could snuggle him close. “I want to leave, for your sake… but you’ve seen what they do if you even speak against them… they kill you if you leave.”
Jake's expression hardened some when Lighter said that the gang would kill him if he left. "No they fucking won't. Not if I have anything to say about it, but yeah, if they have one of those centers then we should definitely go…I think it would be a good idea." Jake stopped and smiled, shrugging, as Lighter got closer to him. "There's always the option of me storming where they hang out and wiping them out myself~ I wouldn't mind at all~" Jake said, seriously meaning what he said though he made it sound like a joke.
“I’m glad I have a strong boyfriend to protect me~” he teased, burying his face in Jake’s neck. “Let’s go to one of those then… I’ll feel better if you’re with me.” Jake’s next words made Lighter frown. He growled lowly, playfully nipping at Jake’s ear. “No. Absolutely not!” He whined.
Jake laughed, knowing he would get that kind of reaction from Lighter. "Alright, alright, I won't, I was only kidding~" Seeing that Lighter was done eating, Jake lays down, taking Lighter down with him. "Okay…then let's go tomorrow. We should get some rest right now so that we have energy to do all that tomorrow~" Jake hugs the fluffy wrapped Lighter tightly, staying like for a few minutes. "Tomorrow…" He mutters as his eyes start closing a bit.
He growled again, but let himself relax into Jake as they fell to the bed. He pulled himself into Jake and purred. “Tomorrow.” He repeated, letting himself relax and start to doze off. “Thank you Jake…”
The corner of Jake's mouth curved slightly as his heavy eyelids threatened to close any second now. He mummbled a soft 'you're welcome' and fell asleep.
