"Sure!" Yesim said, thanking the waitress when she came back with Yesim's credit card.

“Teya grabbed her things, standing up. “Can you get home all right?” She asked.

"Yep. Can you?" Yesim asked as she stood up and grabbed her things.

Teya nodded. She wasn’t sure whether to shake hands or hug.

Yesim wasn't sure on what she should do also so she just held out her hand, smiling at Teya.

Teya smiled back, shaking her hand.

"Do you need a ride home?" Yesim asked.

Teya shook her head, “I’m too, but I appreciate the offer.”

"Okay then." Yesim smiled again before heading out the door.

“Wait—“ Teya calles out, a little too loud, seeing other people turn to look at her. She got distracted, hesitating for a moment. “I’ll—I’ll walk with you.” She finished, a little more stressed than she was moment’s before, but not too much to be all that noticeable.

Yesim turned around when she heard Teya then chuckled. "Sure."

Teya, grabbed her purse, shuffling as gracefully as she could, but in all honesty it was just awkward more than anything. She caught up to Yesim and they walked.

Yesim smiled at Teya then headed towards her house, humming a random song she knew.

"So…." Yesim started awkwardly, not sure what to do now.

“Oh yeah. This is awkward. So…you from here?” She asked, hoping she hadn’t already asked that.

"No, not really. I moved here a couple of weeks ago."

“Oh, really? Where from?” She inquired.

"Michigan." Yesim answered.

“Yeah? I knew people from Michigan once. Back in high school. Some of them were really nice, and others weren’t. In conclusion, Michigan was just like anywhere else.” She replied.

Yesim nodded along. "That's true."

“Why’d you leave?” She asked.

"Well, after I got a job. I had to move around a lot so I've been practically everywhere."

“Really? Rad. Like, everywhere in the country, or have you been other places?”

"I've been to some other places too. Like, India, Africa, Australia, and Britain."

“I’ve always wanted to go to Europe!” Teya clapped excitedly. “Was it good? Do you like it there?”

"Well, the part I went to was great. Also, just curious, when is your birthday?" Yesim asked.

(I low-key want Yesim to take Teya to Europe on her birthday)

“In a little less than a month,” she replied. “Why? When’s yours?”
