(Too much wheat in general can be bad for your digestion, but it's an important source of glucose so I guess it's everything in moderation. Sorry my family is kinda obsessed with food so I'm filled with random facts)
(i am now really really hungry)
(I just eat whatever tastes good, I don't normally bother with whether or not it's healthy lol)
(I only eat "healthy" because it was pounded into me XDD Also I'm supposed to be vegetarian but I cheat all the time lol)
(oh god, I would never be able to be vegetarian. I've grown up on BBQ and bacon so it's kinda ingrained in me)
(yeah, bacon is the reason I can't become an herbivore. Don't get me wrong, fruits and veggies and beans and stuff are good, but….bacon, man.)
(bacon is the one thing you can't give up. I've got a friend who is total vegetarian except for bacon. he justifies it by saying bacon is a plant somehow but it's funny to listen to)
(lol, I mean technically you could call any meat a plant because it probably ate plants at some point and converted the plant cells into itself)
(welp gotta go for a while, see ya when I see ya ^^)
(hey again. I'll be on for the next 45 minutes if anyone else is around)
(heyy! ^^ Do you need a recap, Red?)
(we got into camp, everything's going smooth but Mike found out he had to do a job for one of his more obnoxious sponsors before we leave again: The guy's pet demons got loose and need to be caught. Pluto offered to help, and you can too if you want)
(okay sure yeah. thank you and red can definitely help with that i guess)
(sweet)
Mike inclined his head at the doorway. "Shall we go? You're all gonna need some tougher clothes, a headset, and some kind of defense weapon before we leave. We can pick them up at the armory."
"Armory….?" Red tilted her head to the side in confusion. She had started getting somewhat annoyed with herself and her limited knowledge of the outside world.
"Yeah. It's basically a giant warehouse were we keep spare weapons, gear, tools, machinery, that sort of thing." Mike led them outside, where the sun was beginning to shine weakly. "We had to expand it recently to accommodate for all the new recruits coming in. There it is." He pointed at a very large metal building on their right with sliding double doors and small windows high above the ground.
"Ah…. okay.?" Red shook her head, trying to just go with the flow and not interrupt any more. She wandered after Mike, confused as to what she was supposed to be doing.
(hello sorry for vanishing) Pluto whistled at the size of the armory. "Dang. Bet you could fit a couple jumbo jets in there."
"If there were any jumbo jets left in the country, I'd take you up on that bet." Mike led them into the armory through a side door, flicking on the nearby lights as he entered. It was a vast, chilly, echoing space, filled with incredibly tall steel shelves and stacks of wooden crates. A series of catwalks laced the rafters, and it was possible to make out one or two hunters traveling along them in search of what the needed.
Mike went down an aisle of clothes, counting off the sizes until he was almost at the end. "Here, just slip this on," he said, offering Red a pair of hunter's coveralls. "Looks about your size. The rest of you can find stuff that fits too, and then we move on to boots and vests. Pluto, if your wings give you trouble, feel free to hack a hole in something. We've got plenty."
"Awesome. This looks like the shed my mom kept her bomber in back in WW2, just a lot bigger." Pluto walked slowly, running her hands along some of the jackets and other clothing items. "She was a Night Witch, y'know. Killed Germans in a crop duster."
"Uh…" Red took the coveralls and turned them around in her hands, examining them. She began to attempt to put them on without help or instruction and ended up getting her arms tangled in the straps and her head somehow stuck in a hole. "Aaahhhhh…. help," she called out lightly trying to get herself unstuck but pulled on her hair instead.
Pluto turned around, snapping out of her nostalgia. "Oh, gods, how did you mess those up?" she laughed. She moved to help Red with the coveralls, untangling the straps and carefully getting her hair out of the way. She helped Red put the coveralls on and stepped back, patting the vampire on the head. "There ya go kid. Congrats, you're wearing coveralls."
(gtg guys. i'll be back on in about an hour)
"I dunno my history too good, but sounds like that was a good thing. I woulda liked to meet your ma if we hadn't been born in different dimensions."
(kay, I might have to go soon as well, we'll see)
