Met grinned back and took a seat, messing with his belt for a few moments before looking back up at him.
"You… um… look great." He smiled faintly. "I wish I could wear a turtleneck like that."

@_sleeby_rat_

Kadachi seemed surprised at first, but a shy blush quickly spread across his face. "Thank you. You…You look very nice as well," he answered, turtling a little into his collar

Deleted user

"Oh, thanks," Met said softly, messing with the black collar of his shirt. He contemplated unbuttoning it, but then his tattoo would be directly in view. Why did he get it, anyway?

Kadachi smiled a little, giving a little nod before taking another small sip of his tea. He couldn't help but glance Met over again. He really did look handsome like this, and his cheeks flushed ever so slightly at the thought

Met decided to keep his shirt buttoned up to his neck. He was clearly uncomfortable with it that high, but he ignored it bluntly, and looked up when their waitress approached. He ordered a water and milk.

@_sleeby_rat_

Kadachi was still thinking about what he wanted to eat, so he didn't get anything but a refill. Though after a moment more of looking at Met, he found himself giggling softly. "Why do you have your shirt buttoned up that high? You're going to choke yourself like that," he teased

Deleted user

Met sipped on his water once it came, looking up at him once he spoke with a blush. "I… I just have stuff I want to hide, I guess," He admitted with a small laugh, setting the cup down.

@_sleeby_rat_

"You don't need to do that, Met. I don't mind at all about any marks or scars or tattoos you might have. I have plenty of my own," Kadachi said softly, giving him a little smile. "Don't cover up on my account. You shouldn't have to be uncomfortable."

Deleted user

Met grinned back faintly. "Trust me, I'm not uncomfortable. It's just the tattoo… I shouldn't have gotten it, really. There was just a time in my life that… unfortunately really liked flowers…"

@_sleeby_rat_

Kadachi almost immediately lit up, a cute little gasp escaping him as he looked up at Met with wide eyes. "I love flowers!" he exclaimed, doing his best to remember to keep his voice down

Deleted user

Met grinned lightly, perhaps more than what Kadachi had seen. "Well, I have a fuck-ton (excuse my language) of tattoos. This one's just… annoying. It and my other tats almost lost me a job."

@_sleeby_rat_

(pfft)

Kadachi just huffed a little at that. "One thing I do not understand about American culture is their aversion towards tattoos. In my home, they were revered for the story they told. Ink on one's body was viewed as precious, but many here seem to hate them. In my opinion, unless you have a swastika tattoo–in which case I will actually stab you–or something of the like, it is automatically lovely."

(Met was saying that, not me, lmao)

Met shrugged faintly, looking down at the table. "People just think they're unprofessional. They belong to 'unintelligent' people. So I got easy-to-hide ones, apart from a few exceptions on my arms and neck. And my hip. I have a lot of tattoos."

@_sleeby_rat_

(I still find it funny)

"I have a few myself, though I'm not as heavily tattooed as some of my people were. Most are flowers, with small salamanders hidden in each. In my city it was customary to get tattoos that told stories, though I was never able to finish mine," Kadachi said with a soft smile

Deleted user

Met tilted his head a little tugging at his collar before relaxing again. "Really? Why weren't you able to finish your story?" And do you want me to help you? Met conspiculously finished in his mind.

@_sleeby_rat_

Kadachi went a little quiet, lips pursed as he looked down at his hands. "Our custom was to get a tattoo representing an important part of our life story every three years, starting at 18. I was only able to get one before the accident, and I haven't…I haven't wanted to get the traditional tattoos done by someone not from my city."

Met bit his lip, shuffling in his chair. He had brought up something that definitely hit a nerve. He was starting to regret even asking, but he couldn't take it back, and changing the subject was rude.
"I-… I'm sorry," Mer said genuinely, blinking.

@_sleeby_rat_

"It's fine. You didn't know, and it happened when I was young," Kadachi said, shrugging as he sipped his tea. "What happened, happened, and I cannot change that."

Deleted user

"I don't think I should have asked such a question, though," Met mumbled into the rim of his cup, tugging awkwardly at his shirt collar, now because he was nervous. Did he just totally fuck up the mood? Probably.

@_sleeby_rat_

"Again, you didn't know. Just e glad that you hadn't asked me a few years ago, or I would have entirely broken down," Kadachi said with a soft chuckle. "But I wasn't lying when I said I wanted to see those tattoos," he said

Deleted user

Met chuckled meekly, looking up. "I don't blame you. I… I guess I could show you a few, but I have a lot more all around my body. I can only show you a couple." He smiled faintly. "You'd have to get to know me more to see them all."

Deleted user

Met blushed faintly, looking down at the table. "Well– it depends on how many you want to see," He laughed nervously.

@_sleeby_rat_

"Just the ones you can show me in public for now," Kadachi chuckled, grinning a little at how embarrassed he had accidentally made Met

Deleted user

"For now?" Met softly repeated as he went to unbuttoning his shirt. He tried to hide it the best he could, so it didn't seem as sensual. He flattened out the collar so his neck and smooth collarbone was visible, showing a large, almost real-looking tattoo nestled in his neck. The bud of the rose was his adam's apple, the flower was that big.

@_sleeby_rat_

Kadachi's eyes widened, and his lips fell open in awe at the tattoo. "It's gorgeous," he murmured, instinctively reaching a hand over towards Met's shoulder before pulling away

Deleted user

Met watched his hand curiously, wondering about the gesture and smiling faintly. "Thanks. I have some on my wrists, too." He went about pulling down his shirt so they were at his elbows. Met felt rather like eye candy as he sat there. On his wrists were little, colorful butterflies, flying upwards along his arm.

@_sleeby_rat_

"You have wonderful tattoos," Kadachi complemented, a hand moving to gently run his fingers along the colored skin. "I can't do colored tattoos, my skin is just too dark for it to look good," he chuckled

Deleted user

Met smiled a little, watching Kadachi's dark hand trail up his pale arm. "Thanks. Fortunately my skin is perfect for keeping tattoos in. The tattoo artist always calls me in for color tests, so that's why I have so many."

@_sleeby_rat_

"I would love to have a color tattoo, at least one that isn't pale. My skin only looks good with a very dull green or red," Kadachi chuckled
