“Much better,” he murmured, pressing a palm against her cheek.

“Do I taste like ice cream?” Kasey asked with a soft chuckle after pulling away.

“Mm,” he answered with a smirk, flicking her nose lightly.

“You do too, but that might have just been me,” Kasey said, smiling at him.

“I think it was you,” he hummed, plonking a kiss on her cheek.

"Probably," Kasey agreed with a chuckle. She sighed and smiled over at him. "Yore the best. You know that?"

"Of course I am," he joked lightly, returning the smile.

"Modest, are we?" Kasey teased, poking him in the cheek with the handle of her spoon.

Barry wiggled his eyebrows in the most comical way he could manage. “Mm, very.”

Kasey snorted and shook her head, smiling as she brought another spoonful of ice cream to her mouth. "You're ridiculous sometimes," she chuckled before eating it.

Barry grinned, very happy with himself. “You know you love me, Kase.”

"Always have, always will," Kasey declared after swallowing her bite of dessert.

Barry frowned down at the blank paper in front of him, sighing before scribbling down the names of his parents and Harper.

“Should we invite your old roommate?” Kasey wondered as she wrote down Kenzie and Hunter.

“I wrote a list for friends down on another sheet of paper,” he explained, motioning to the sheet beside him. “This one’s for family.”

“Oh. Did you get these two down, then?” Kasey asked, gesturing to Kenzie’s and Hunter’s names.

Barry faithfully scribbled down the names his fiancée had suggested, brushing the hair from his forehead.

Kasey hummed, leaning into him and resting her head on his shoulder. “Hm… Maybe Madeline? Did you get her written down?”

Barry tapped the name beneath Caleb’s. “Right here.” After scribbling down the names of some of his other friends, he looked to Kasey in askance. “Which of your friends do you want to invite?”

Kasey hummed in thought. “You haven’t met them, but I know a few other supers. Avery Thompson and her sister, Courtney. Blaine Woods and her boyfriend, Zach. Thea Lane, Jennifer Lakeman, and Scarlet Westfield.”

“Wait, wait,” he chuckled, tapping his pen against the paper. “Slow down. Avery… what?”

"Sorry, I'm a little excited," Kasey said with a light laugh. "Avery Thompson, and her sister, Courtney…" She continued to slowly list the other names, watching Barry as he wrote them down.
