Name: Leah "Hawk" Perkings
Age: 18
Grade: Senior
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bi-curious/Questioning
Species: Human
Role: Loner/Techy Friend
Personality: Socially awkward, very introverted but not shy, friendly, tries her best to maintain some ounce of confidence, anxiety-ridden, not quite brave, likes to be cautious, doesn't trust anyone easily (including her own family), unpredictable as she is sometimes brutally honest and sometimes lies on the spot, isn't very compassionate about people unless she knows them well, usually quiet because she's thinking, introspective, sometimes freaks out over nothing at all when really she's been overthinking something so simple (which makes her great at puzzles and hacking but horrible at friendships)
Appearance: Thick black box braids that reach the top of her hips, leaf-green eyes, dark brown skin, 5'9" and 143 lbs, "pear"-shaped body, medium build with a sturdy-but-gentle frame, a couple of random scars across her body from casual accidents, walks with a noticable limp, favoring her right leg.
Current outfit: Comfortable graphic t-shirt with "The Who" logo on front. Bleached jeans. Grey converse shoes and grey belt. Dark-green hoodie with a gold triforce on the back.
Backstory (optional): Her parents love and care about her, yes, but she's also in a house with 5 other siblings for her to compete with for her parent's attention. Her solution? Act out a lot then disappear for days on end. She usually hides out in an abandoned building where she also lugged a bunch of her equipment to keep her company for the time. She got into a car accident a few years ago that permanently messed up her spine and right leg. She uses a cane when she needs to get somewhere fast but opts to walk without it if she isn't in a rush (or if she misplaced it).
Other: Talks with a stutter that becomes more pronounced when around strangers, large crowds, or people she's uncomfortable with. Enjoys people-watching/spying/eavesdropping.
Name: Maruma "Marim" Leylier (lay-lier)
Age: 123 years, or 17 in Human years.
Grade: Junior
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Omnisexual; in her home society, it is odd if you are not attracted to every gender/sexuality.
Species: An outside species called the Qwe'i (they're basically like aliens except they look more demon-like. Their society is different, the way they are taught/learn is different. They, almost as a whole species, love to experiment.)
Role: Random Alien person??
Personality: Very bright and spunky with a lot of attitude. She loves getting attention and being talked about. Will interject with any fact/news/tea she knows about a subject or person, even if it's right or wrong. She's fascinated by a thing humans call "science" and loves messing with people to get reactions out of them.
Appearance: Thick, hardy skin with gentle, faint scars lining her face and arms. Her lips are full and pulled up in a happy smile 24/7, showing off rather blunt teeth. Her eyes are tiny and beady, but a pretty black/emerald color. Her long, faded gray-blue hair is tied up in a knot at the base of her head. Short, thin horns (kind of like a unicorn's) curling up from the back of her head and from the sides. Very easy to hide. She has a lot of ring-shaped tattoos on her hips and shoulders.
Current outfit: She often wears a head-wrap to hide her horns, but will also turn for a hoodie at desperate times. Likes to wear flowing dresses and flats on a breezy day. In the winter (which is the time she came about Earth) she wore her thick jacket that her parents took from a thrift-store.
Backstory (optional): Maruma was sent from her home planet on an investigation-based mission. She would go down to Earth to mess with a few humans. Her parents went with her to investigate different work-forces, and they would all find ways to hide their horns and other things that announce they are not human. Her parents try to act as adult-like as possible, and they suggested Maruma does the same. She… sort of does.
Other: Is fascinated by spicy foods.
Name: River "Riv" Perfron
Age: 18
Grade: Senior
Gender: Genderfluid/ uses they/them pronouns most of the time.
Sexuality: Who knows, they don't, that's for sure.
Species: Human As far as you know
Role: Friend/ A theatre kid that is definitely plotting to take over the government.
Personality: River is a quirky person, not outgoing but not entirely secluded either. If you want to be their friend, you have to prove to them that you aren't an asshole. River is sarcastic and has a sense of humor that focuses on the more darker aspects of life, such as politics and physical injuries. They love to dance and act, but is often stuck as a stagehand, which they also enjoy. Who wouldn't want to be able to control the entire set, this ambition is why they're the set manager.
Appearance: River has a plus-size body but that doesn't stop them from doing what they want. They have a more feminine frame but have their hair cut short into what would be generally considered a male cut. Their hair is dyed a light blue with hints of pale purple and a bit of pink. They have a more feminine frame and they own it.
Current outfit: A black tank top with some high waisted jeans, a bracelet that says what gender they are at the time, and some black combat boots to step on anyone who touches a prop that's not their toes.
Backstory (optional): Normal childhood, they grew up with two dads and came out to them as genderfluid when they were about 15. However, a year later, they got into a car accident with their uncle. Their uncle broke his arm and River's vocal box was damaged beyond repair, so now they use asl.
Wait who are we missing?
Like who hasn't done their character yet?
Question: Shipping? Yay or nay? And should we plan it out or wing it?
Name: Malfus Foust
Age: 17
Grade: Junior
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Species: Human
Role: The Talented Bookworm
Personality: Gentle and soft-spoken with a usual atmosphere of relaxation around him. He is the embodiment of a handsome wolf who is sometimes a lazy puppy at heart. Everything about him is deep, mature, and loving. He doesn’t care much for childish things and is obviously a little ahead of his time.
Appearance: Tall and lean, Malfus is always one for looking fine and crisp. His long black hair in always tied back and he shaves at the moment to keep away the pedo-appearance. He has pale skin and hazel eyes, accompanied with thick black eyebrows. No piercings but he does have a tattoo of a starry bear cub on his left bicep with a date beneath it.
Current outfit: Black and blue flannel with a black tee underneath, black jeans, and black converse. He has a shark tooth hanging from a leather necklace around his throat.
Backstory (optional): He comes from a wonderful home with a loving mother that cares for him deeply. Though, it hadn’t always been this way. Malfus has only gone off the rails once: When his mother had a miscarriage. The whole family fell apart in grief and soon after his father left he and his mother for a whole new family. He got the tattoo to grieve for his unborn baby brother ((It’s only been a year, so perhaps the others know about this))
Other: He is a bass-singer and enjoys being one. He sings for his mother often but dodges anyone and everyone ( theatre teachers, choir teachers, glee club, encouraging friends, etc.) who tries to get him to sing for any other reason besides his own enjoyment.
Shipping is cool but is it okay if we wing it? I hate planned out ships
Sweet then, we're all in agreement
… Does everyone have their forms up?
I believe, you guys were just waiting on me, right?
Yeah, I think that's everyone. Give me a sec to type up a starter.
"Good morning class," Mrs. Thade said, trying to get the attention of her eleventh-grade physics class. Linnea turned around from talking to Amanda Tillie about prom and focused on Mrs. Thade and the kid who was standing next to her. "We have a new student who will be joining us. Let's give a warm welcome to . . . Maruma Ley - liar." Mrs. Thade clapped a few times and the class clapped along half-heartedly. "I believe there is an empty seat next to Ms. Belis, here, so why don't you have a seat." As soon as the girl started to walk away Mrs. Thade started to speak. "Now class, please open your textbooks to. . . . "
As she opened her textbook Linnea leaned over to the new kid. "Hi," she said, smiling. "I'm Linnea."
Leah looked up from her seat in the back of the classroom. Usually, she would be taking a nap during her TA period for Mrs. Thade, but today her routine was interrupted by the introduction of a new kid. Huh… interesting… She tossed a few braids back behind her shoulder to cover up her motion of getting her phone out and taking a few discrete photos for later reference. Maruma… what an odd name. I wonder where she came from… Lead tried her best to keep her face neutral as she pondered over the subject that is the new kid.
River nudged Leah's shoulder, giving a smirk at Leah's motion and taking photos. "The new kid seems interesting, no?" They signed with a smirk on their face, giving a silent laugh. Like Leah, they also took out their phone, opting to play games on it instead of taking pictures. They would usually be looking over plans for the play but they left their script in their first theatre period.
Maruma gently corrected the teacher who had a wonderful surname. All of the humans had such cute names! It put a smile on her face as she went to go sit down, getting comfortable with her cloth pouch, called a bookbag, between her legs. She looked up when she was talked to and smiled brightly with her blunt teeth shining in the light of the classroom.
"Hi! I'm Maruma."
Misha bounced his leg impatiently and twirled his pencil, trying his best to focus on his textbook. He was normally pretty distracted and bouncy, but two cups of coffee and the fact that there was a new kid at the school kept him especially unfocused. He sighed and ran painted nails through his hair, keeping his eyes trained on the words in his book, though none of them made much sense at the moment.
