I know but having a family member I'm close to it was as if someone just took 1,000 knives and stabbed me in the heart.

I know what that's like. My family hasn't accepted me. A few friends turned their back on me. And one "friend" physically abused me after coming out to them.
Oh My God. I'm telling some of my closest friends tomorrow I have gained my confidence and I told a different friend today.
Good luck!
Thanks but I'm not that worried one of the is also part of LGBTQ+ community
That's good! I'll always support you too!
I never knew people could be so NICE
Mhm!
I'm pulling an all-nighter This will be fun. Time to get my oreo stash and work till one AM
Just got Spider man into the spider verse and I’m excited to watch it and look for things I didn’t see the first time

I watched that and I've read the book and I honestly askdlsad loved it
I haven't read the book but I heard the movie is real sad
Hey guys been a while since I commented on here but I just came out to my parents about being bi and my girlfriend (I'm a girl) and they actually are excited for me and want to meet her!!!! I'm so happy my step mom has always seemed okay but I was terrified of my dad he's not overjoyed I'm dating but he's happy I told him.
That's Amazing
Thought my dad was gonna have a heart attack and send me to the family priest
Well I'm glad it all worked out!
That's a little much but some people do that. that's really good that that didn't happen.
Yeah my dad is a little extra in every sense of the world but still a good guy
well, there are worse things to have in family members.
yeah there really are.
ya like LGBTQ+phobic family members and you have to hide in your closet alone and scared.
I'm so glad it worked out for you!
I haven't told them and I probably won't for a long time
Sometimes you just have to drop the bomb, like how I did with my parents, it's really scary at first but in the end you feel courageous, no matter what their reaction. Not to mention it could turn out to be a really funny story in the future.

Yeah but not everyone has the luxury of being able to laugh about it later. Personally I don't know what would happen to me so I'm just not gonna do anything until I'm able to be independent.

I did drop the bomb. And yes, not everyone has the luxury of being able to laugh about it later…
ya exactly midnight
I didn't say everyone could laugh about it. When I came out to my real dad it was horrible, but that was years ago and it doesn't hurt anymore. Now I laugh about the situation because I don't care what he thinks, or what anyone thinks. It's not their business to judge me or have a say in my life.
You do you.
