"Nothing's wrong with him," Cece responded, her mind somewhere else. She kept her eyes on the road. "He's just… a little eccentric,"
"Nothing's wrong with him," Cece responded, her mind somewhere else. She kept her eyes on the road. "He's just… a little eccentric,"
"Oh… I'm sorry."
Teresa sat on the roof of the car, wings extended for balance. She was thinking about her brother, and how he had started this, when her eyesight went blank. A boy with black hair, red eyes and black wings appeared. "Hey, sister. Your thoughts are very loud, especially when you're thinking about me." He said in a mocking voice. "Jordan." Teresa growled. "What do you want?" "Isn't it obvious?" He asked. "I want the others that are with you." "So you can turn THEM into mindless slaves?" "You'll see. Bring them to me before the summer solstice or else… I don't think I need to explain what will happen." The image of her brother disappeared and her eyesight returned.
"No, brother." Teresa said into the night. "Not another innocent mage."
Ashira heard Teresa say something. She knocked on the roof of the car. “Hey, you okay?”
Teresa sighed. "Just another conversation with Captain Sunshine."
“I’m assuming that’s your brother you never told me about.” Ashira said with a slight hint of anger.
"Ding ding ding. First try." Teresa said.
Luca had completely blanked out and became lost in his own mind, his thoughts swarming around him like bees.
"Yay! I got it right. Now I choose Teresa's secrets for 500." Ashira said sarcastically.
"Well, I'm SORRY." Teresa said. "Would YOU have told anybody you had an evil creep for a brother? People start to not like you when you say things like that, just saying."
Luca didn't respond. He didn't hear what they were talking about, the noises in his head drowning everything out.
"I would have told you!" Ashira's voice was getting louder. "I would never hate you because of your siblings!"
Teresa raised her eyebrows, then remembered that Ashira couldn't see her. "Really? Well I recall several arguments when you were keeping secrets from me. And you still do. So if you don't tell me everything, why should I tell you everything?"
Teresa sighed and lay down on top of the moving car. An old guy saw her and stared. That's right. Sitting on the roof wasn't normal here. Oh well.
"Get down from the roof." Luca told Teresa after seeing a few people stare at her. "We don't want to attract more attention than we already have."
"Where do you want me to go?"
Ashira mentally continued their argument. Mentally getting angry at Teresa.
"There's room in the back of the car."
Teresa used her power and listened in on Ashira's thoughts. She was still angry at her.
"Okay. I'll try not to attract more notice." She flew to the back of the car, opened the trunk and sat down.
Ashira felt odd as if someone was intruding on her thoughts. She, not hardly but not lightly either, the roof of the car. "Are you seriously looking at my thoughts again?" She angrily asked Teresa.
"Me? Never." Teresa said sarcastically.
Ashira growled. "Don't." She said sternly.
Reading minds? Interesting… Luca thought, staring ahead at the road.
"Yes, ma'am!" Teresa did a mock salute. She stopped reading Ashira's mind, though… for now.
Ashira growled, angrily. She didn't want to stay in the car with Teresa anymore. A few minutes passed. You're the only one I trust to tell about where I'm from. She thought.
Ashira was clearly angry with her, Teresa knew. She hadn't meant to snap at her friend like that. It was a side affect of her stupid brother's stupid potion thing.
(Our 'FULL. ON. WAR.' Idea didn't work out so well…)
(Yeah, sorry… Should we still do it, though?)
