She sighed, then grabbed his arm and started pulling him back out into the open, following the guidance of her mimickrees.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Away from here. He'd have picked up your scent by now." She thought about the other two. "Where are your friends? They might be in danger too."

(@Your_Local, I didn't mean to shove you out of the roleplay, but its what my character would've done. Once he's out of this bad mood, you're welcome to come back in!)

(Hey, I know I didn't respond when you first put it up, but I totally understand. When you're done with the scene, if I'm online I'll come back in)

"The elves? Shit, I sent them away."

"Vlákas. Why would you do that?" She pulled a little more forcefully, practically dragging him at this point. Her grip tightened.

"Let go off my arm, I'm losing bloodflow to my hard. ANd I thought you were gonna attack me, so I sent them away to not get hurt."

She scoffed, but let go. "If I was really going to hurt you, I'd only directly fight you, not them."

"They'd try to intervene. It's just in their nature."

She pulled him to a halt. "Then I'd defend myself if need be, but no harm will be done." She narrowed her eyes at him. "I take it I'm going to have to get your head on straight, because I know you're thinking about taking this guy on still."

"No. I know what he did to Cin."

She started to argue, but then she registered his words. "She told you?"

"It's not that hard to put two and two together. I've seen the scars."

(sorry, technical difficulties) She pushed up her glasses. "True enough, I suppose. That gives me an idea." She pulled out a device that looked like a cell phone and pressed a few buttons. It rang.

(Same) "Who are you calling?"

She pressed a finger to her lips.
"Hello?" Came a calming male voice. It was familiar to Runner somehow.
"Heeeeey. So I know you just got back from the camp, but could you ask Demitri if he can convince one of the daemon Kings–or hell, even Arachne–to hide us from you-know-who?"
"Sure. Just a moment."

He rubbed his nose, confused as all hell.

A deep rumble thundered from afar. Aurae's violet eyes widened with true fear, then hastily threw him into the shadows. She wrapped them tightly around the pair, hiding them from all senses. "Faster!" She hissed into the phone.

"Throw a little bit of energy at me. I have an idea."

She shoved him farther down. "No! You are not dying on my watch!"

"Trust me, for fuck's sake."

She hissed through her teeth. "Fine. Just don't die." She flicked at bit of shadows towards him.

"I won't even leave the shadow." He prepared to recieve the nenergy blast.

She chewed her thumb nail. "Just use some of the shadows I'm controlling. I can't throw pure energy, I'm not that skilled."

He frowned, fiddling with his thumbs for a moment, then rolling something no one else could. A splitting image of him goes running into the woods, so realistic it was scary.
