"And yours are the most beautiful blue I've ever seen."
"And yours are the most beautiful blue I've ever seen."
"Would you like to see them closer then?" She forced her heart down from her throat before gently grabbing his cheek and pulling his lips down onto her own.
Skye all but pulled away in surprise, but he leaned into the kiss gently, his arms wrapping around her.
Her heart had nearly stopped when she felt him hesitate but she relaxed when he didn't immediately reject her.
Skye pushed into the kiss a little, realizing she had tensed when he had.
She gently leaned into him as he did to her. The ease peace the simple kiss gave her was more than a little confusing.
Skye sighed, enjoying all of it, her scent, her touch, her voice.
However, it reminded her of something. Or, more accurately, someone. Just the thought of it made her shudder.
Skye felt her shudder, pulling away with concern again.
The squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block out the memories. The words, the looks, the feelings, she just wanted them to go away.
Skye watched her with growing concern, wishing he knew a way to help.
The memories were back hardcore. She could practically see the room, feel and hear everything from his hands gripping her hips tightly to his chest firmly against her back. And his voice, low and husky, his hot breath against her ear. "Tell me you want it baby. Tell me you want it as much as I do." Her heart was pounding so hard she thought it'd burst out of her chest.
Skye was helpless to do anything at this point, all he could do was watch with concern, "Crystal…. What's wrong?"
(Sorry, I had errors.)
(So did I)
His voice cut through, reminding her that Skye wasn't Kyle. Skye wouldn't hurt her. Probably. She snapped her eyes open, gasping for air like a fish out of water.
Skye put a hand on her shoulder, carefully as if the slightest breath would cause her to shatter, "Are you ok?" he asked softly, afraid he'd done something wrong.
(That last bit of delay was my mom being annoying…)
She coughed a couple times before finally regaining her breath. "I-I'm really sorry about that it's just…memories that…remind me of a…bad time and a bad person."
"You don't need to explain to me…" said Skye gently, "It's none of my business. And honestly, I don't want to know who hurt you unless you're asking me to kill them for it."
"He told me he loved me. Then why did he hurt me the way he did?" She muttered to herself brushing her hair out of her eyes.
"That wasn't love…" said Skye, forcing his rising anger back down his own throat. "People who actually love each other, don't hurt each other without explanation."
"He wanted something I didn't want to give. So he took it from me by force."
Skye blinked in slight alarm, "That's not love…." he whispered… "Love protects people….. It shouldn't be used to steal…."
"He said he loved me. He said he'd never hurt me the way my father did. Why did he lie to me?"
"I don't know…" said Skye softly, "I wish I could tell you but I can't…."
She shook her thoughts away. "Whatever. It doesn't matter. He took what he wanted and left me for dead. And according to him, I am."
She sighed heavily and laid her head on his shoulder. "But you're different."
Skye watched her silently, carefully placing an arm on her back, slowly so she could pull away.
"I know you won't hurt me like he did. That's just not who you are as a person."
"And I'm glad that I'm right." She kissed his cheek gently. "I'm beginning to wonder how the hell you noticed a girl like me."
