Brie smiled into her macaroni and cheese. "How old are your siblings?" she asked wistfully.
Brie smiled into her macaroni and cheese. "How old are your siblings?" she asked wistfully.
Helen jogged back to her room, hoping that her dreams would be better tonight.
Samuel nodded and tore into his food like a starving wolf.
"Eight and ten. My eight-year-old brother's name is Casper and my ten-year-old sister's name is Isa." Bia felt like she was going to fall asleep into her food, but she wanted to talk to Brie.
Bia's eyes were drooping.
"Bia, you should really go to sleep. We can handle the rest of the afternoon." Brie said gently.
Bia started to protest, but decided against it. "You guys be careful. And if something goes wrong, WAKE ME UP." She walked back to her room and immediately collapsed on her bed and fell asleep.
Helen couldn't go to sleep. Helen didn't want to go to sleep. Not again. At least The Assistant used variety with Archia. Cutting his wings off before killing him. Gunshot to the heart. Helen fingered the gun in her pocket, wondering why she wasn't doing something about it. But something made her keep all the weapons she collected over the days. just in case- wait, no! where did that thought come from? These dreams were manipulating her. She couldn't trust herself, so she switched to a more isolated training routine, for safety, you know?
Brie watched as everyone left to go to sleep, frowning. These people have the bedtimes of five-year-olds, she thought. She was tired too, actually. Well, it wouldn't hurt to sleep a bit longer than usual.
"Goodnight, guys." she told the group, skimming Ella's shoulder as she walked away.
Samuel, left on his own and unable to sleep a wink, made his way to the library and lay down on the couch, drawing his legs up to himself and muttering incoherent words under his breath while sobbing silently. Too much had happened, and this was the only time he could express that.
ella came out of her room.
after hearing someone sobbing.
she made her way to the library
um are..you okay?
she asked samuel.
Archia was swinging on his new home grown hammock and was thinking about what he'd done and what the others had done "Bia is dangerous, she may not look like it but she's good with weapons and has super telekentic powers over water and can read minds! And what about Kana… he was doing hand stand push ups with gravity crushing the ground! We may just be silly teenagers, but teenagers can change sides very quickly…" Archia was worried about what if one of them turned bad, what if he went to the other side, he needed to talk, "I cant talk to Bia, she'll just deny the possibility… maybe helen? She has some common sense." He decided to come up with a game plan and knocked on helen's door "Can I come in?" he whispered "It's urgent"
Helen's thoughts were disrupted by a knocking at her door. "Come in!" She called over her shoulder.
Archia walked in. oh no "So, what do you need?" She smiled sweetly.
Archia looks at Helen quickly scampering to try to hide Hide something
(gotta go be back in a few)
Samuel jumped off the couch in surprise and back away from Ella slowly, tears still streaming down his face. "Don't you dare come near me." He turned and fled upstairs then, locking himself into his bedroom and falling back against the door, panting.
ella stood there shocked..
she had just wanted to make sure he was okay.
she hated seeing others in pain.
Brie was asleep when she heard a door slam. It was far from her room, but audible nonetheless. She got up and put on a jacket and slippers, before padding into the hallway. She didn't call out for fear of waking someone up, just headed to across the hallway.
She decided to search nearby emotions: the strongest one was by far someone, though she couldn't tell who, who was angry and terribly sad. There was a fainter one close by, shock and sadness, from someone she immediately recognized.
"Ella?" she called out softly.
hey brie I umm came out to make sure Samuel was okay I heard him crying..
from my room.
when I asked him if he wasokay he well just stormed off..
ella replied slightly sad.
Brie sighed. "Well, this situation does take some getting used to, don't you think? He's probably just a little overwhelmed." she assured her friend. "You should try and get back to sleep. I have a feeling it'll be a long day tomorrow."
Brie looked at Ella's saddened expression. The moonlight was casting an eerie glow over everything, and it gave her hair an iridescent effect. It was very aesthetic.
ella sees brie staring at her and blushes.
Ella blushed again. Brie wanted to tuck Ella's hair behind her ear, but she held back. She didn't want to ruin anything.
"You're blushing." Brie commented softly instead.
well so are you ella whispered.
slightly smiling.
Bia tossed in her bed. She kept having nightmares. She finally got up and left her room, and she saw Ella and Brie out in the living room/library. "Hey." She called softly. "What are you two doing up so late?"
Archia stares at Helen in suspicion, "We need to talk" Archia states, taking a chair from the room and turning it around archia sits "Everybody here has powers except you, I don't know why but I trust you to keep a secret… a big one"
A secret. I have one of those. Helen sat down across from Archia. "I.. have, um, something to, uh, tell you, too. After you're done, of course." She stammered. "But you go first."
And then it hit her. The Assistant, or whoever he worked for, wanted Helen because she was trustworthy. Bia and Archia and Ella and everyone else, they would trust her without a second thought.
Archia throws Helen his notepad "Inside is the strenghts weaknesses and personalities of each of us here… including me" Archia barely managed to say that "You have a page as well… except I don't know what you can do, I don't care if you're hiding something I just needed to get this off my chest." Archia stammers "Please don't tell Bia, she'll freak out… I know it"
EDIT: Bia was wondering if she should be worried about Helen. Bia was very trusting, but she did know how to be cautious. After all, Helen had been eavesdropping on them. Bia made a mental note to stay more alert, with all of the other teens, including herself, not wanting to take any chances.
"Okay." No! Tell him to stop! He can't trust you! Run! Or stay and listen. You'll probably end up using this information to betray your friends, even this one who trust you- a person who doesn't even know what she is doing- more than Bia- who is practically the leader, the most experienced. Helen had to use her willpower and not show any emotion to The Assistant in her dreams. She just couldn't.
(@Natasha, Helen never did that)
"One more thing" Archia blurts out "I know about that weapon thing… you don't hide it very well, but what ever's in that pocket of yours you might as well show me." Archia felt embarrassed He was trying to get Helen to trust him but now she'll think he's a creep or something… "Sorry If I sound creepy, but you had knife in your pocket on the bus and I couldn't get that out of my head."
(Okay I'll change it.)
