Alex nodded, "I'll say that you partially won."
Alex nodded, "I'll say that you partially won."
"Partially? Either I won or I didn't."
"Fine, you won." She said, glancing at him and then Hailee, "Where are we going next?"
"I didn't really plan any further than this," Hailee said, tying her hair into plait.
"We could go back to the headquarters," Alex suggested, "There's got to be something to do there."
"Yeah, but there's only so much that we can do there."
She thought for a moment, "Do we have any board games there?"
Hailee lit up. "We have Mario Kart!"
"We do?" Alex grinned, "We are going back there right now, Mario Kart is amazing!'
"Yes, it is amazing. Prepare to be beat!"
"Ooh, you're going down," Alex said, stretching her fingers with the grin still on her face.
"I really don't think so."
"Hailee's really good. She's been training for years," Gabe interrupted.
"Do you know how much Mario Kart I played in my childhood? It's the thing that held my life together." She shrugged and smirked, "I don't think you have a chance."
"I really think that I'm gonna beat you," Hailee said, making the blocks disappear.
Alex shrugged again, "We'll just have to find out."
"Into the elevator!" Hailee yelled.
She obliged and walked to the elevator, hopping in quickly and looking at the others, "You guys coming?"
Matteo and Gabe walked in, Hailee getting in after. Matteo moved close to Alex, even though there was tons of space in the elevator.
Alexandria didn't object in the least when Matteo moved close to her and she just grinned, "You're not going to win Mario Karts Hailee."
"Of course I am," Hailee said confidentally.
"Nope," Alex replied just as confidently, resting her hands on her hips as she waited for the elevator to get to the ground.
"Yes," Hailee said. "I will."
She shook her head, "Not gonna happen, the only way you're going to win is if I'm not playing against you."
"I really think you're underestimating me," Hailee smiled.
"And you underestimate me." She crossed her arms and glanced at Matteo, "What do you think?"
Matteo looked between his sister and her best friend. "I think if you trash talk each other enough it won't matter who wins."
Alex shrugged, "I don't think Hailee knows exactally how much Mario Karts I played." She put her hands back on her hips and looked around the elevator.
"I don't think you know how many she's played," Matteo volleyed.
"We'll see," Alex said with a shrug, "I'm almost positive I've played more than her."
"I'm positive that you haven't," Gabe said.
