"Tap in, got it." Sage just stood there for a few minutes just taking in the feeling. "Alright what now?" She made sure just to keep taking deep breaths, so that she wouldn't be overwhelmed by any of this.

Phoenix nodded and closed her eyes. She felt her burning aura start to show up and she took a deep breath in. The aura glowed for a second and she could feel her scythe next to her in her hand as the river of flames flowed through her body. Then took a deep breath out and allowed some of that energy into the scythe. It went in easily and she shut that flow off as soon as she could. She opened her eyes and noticed the scythe wasn't melted, but the tips of her wings were a little singed. She wasn't sure what to do next, but at least the weapon was infused without too much trouble as indicated by the faint red glow around it.

"Tap in, got it." Sage just stood there for a few minutes just taking in the feeling. "Alright what now?" She made sure just to keep taking deep breaths, so that she wouldn't be overwhelmed by any of this.

"Just keep taking deep breaths like that, and focus on the weapon." Ziva watched her carefully. She had seen this go wrong a few times, and she wanted to be able to step in if it did.

The aura got brighter. Sage didn't know how to explain it but it felt like it want6her to shoot. Opening her eyes she immediately shot, the only thing was there was no arrow at least that's what she though. A glowing arrow the same color of her aura. It flew through the air it hit the dummy, but when it didn't actually hit. When it touched the dummy it turned to smoke. "What the, what happened?" She looked around and saw everyone was getting results. "Why didn't it work?"

"Hhmm…" Ziva skipped over to the dummy, examining it curiously.

Phoenix took a deep breath in letting her blade glow brighter before exhaling slashing the air and watching an arc of red hit the target in front of her. Doing minimal damage, of course.

Sage followed after Ziva and helped examine the dummy. "There's nothing. Am I seriously that weak?" Sage gently pit her crossbows down and took a breath. "Sorry, I need some fresh air." After that she left the room and went outside.

Ziva muttered to herself, pulling out a notebook and writing something down. That was different. Maybe it did do something that we can't see?

The sun was bright compared to the lights inside. Sage shaded her eyes from the sun and sat in the grass of the garden. It's beautiful out here. "I can't believe it didn't work." She laid back in the grass and closed her eyes. Mom, Dad, I guess I'll be coming home soon.

X hid a smile and sneaked out after Sage. "Well done." He said to her

Sage opened one eye and saw X standing there. "I don't know what you're talking about. I obviously screwed up." Using her arms she pushed herself up and pulled her knees close. "I'm the weakest one here. I pass out from using my strongest ability." She looked up at him with all seriousness, "I'm the weakest one."

X laughed "we are only as strong as our weakest link. If you consider yourself weak, then we can crush anyone in battle." He smiled wistfully at the garden "come with me, I want to show you something."

(I dont know if I mentioned this or not but X is 19)

Sage rose an eyebrow with curiosity. What was it that he wanted to show her? Quickly standing to her feet and followed him. Maybe whatever he was going to show her will help her find out who she really is.

X smiled and took her inside the training room and into a back office. "Come in."

Sage watched as everyone was still practicing and getting the results they wanted. She walked into the office and stood there awkwardly.

"I've only seen one other with an aura similar to yours. Her name was Felicia but we called her Felix. Her aura was so powerful that upon hitting a person, the attack would vaporize and the person would become half dead. Felix was wanted for her abilities by the Moonshine association so she moved away. Your abilities mimic that of hers. I can guarantee that once you strengthen this ability, you will also be able to control living being." He explained, taking out a picture of a girl. She had light brown hair in loose waves, light brown eyes, freckles dotting her face, and a bright smile.

"Is this Felix?" Sage thought she was pretty. Moonshine? Sage only heard a little about that name, her parents didn't bring it up often. "Wait, so you're saying I could potentially be in danger? And what exactly is moonshine?"

"Yes, this is her. She was my adoptive cousin." He smiled. "The Moonshine association isnt evil, at least we dont have any evidence proving it. They sponsor the military and constantly bug different schools and academy's to give them the most talented students. They wanted Felix because her special aura ability would allow them to control the armies of others. Felix hated hurting others, and she hated her ability so she refused and ran from the country so that the wouldn't be able to manipulate her into doing their bidding." He explained

"Ah," Sage had no idea what to say. She felt bad, but also a bit happy. All her life she was mostly ignored because to her family she was weak. Controlling people? The thought made her shudder, with both fear and excitement. In this moment Sage wanted to meet Felix, but that wouldn't happen. "Thanks I feel better. But, how am I supposed to practice this skill, I suppose I would get in trouble for doing it on my class mates? And honestly I don't want to."

Ryo Hayashi was completely lost. It was the first day of school at UA High, and although he suspected he wasn't the only one, it was still embarrassing. He tried to keep his head down and generally avoid eye contact, but he could swear people were whispering. Trying to hide his red face, he buried his face further into his map of the school. "Class 1-A, Class 1-A…" he muttered.

"Hey!"

Hayashi looked up. Someone was standing in front of him, someone who didn't really look like a student. The man was probably in his mid-twenties and was dressed peculiarly, considering the place that they were at. He wouldn't have looked out of place at some pop-punk concert. A teacher…? Hayashi noticed the finger gun on the man's tee-shirt. Yeah, he was that hero that could shoot off his fingers, right? "Uh…I'm not in the wrong section of the school, am I?" He looked around. Almost everyone here looked older than him, somehow.

The teacher laughed and patted him on the back as he steered him in the opposite direction. "You're a first year, right?" Hayashi nodded. "Well, UA's band tryouts for you guys aren't until Thursday–let you get used to the layout of the building, I guess–so yeah, I think you got a little turned around." When Hayashi almost went purple with embarrassment, the man laughed again. "It's fine, happens to everyone sooner or later."

"Yeah, but–"

"Don't worry about it. You won't be late–you're actually pretty early–and most of the other kids from your class are probably a little lost, too." They approached a hallway that had an…abnormally large door to one of the classrooms. "There it is!" he pointed to the big door. "That huge door's the one you'll be heading for. You can't miss it.")

X grinned "if you get in, which I'm sure you have, Felix can come assist you. She has mastered her skill and learned how to suppress it so it couldnt be detected." He explained
