Kai found herself humming the same song as they drove. She's got pretty eyes-

Laura heard Kai humming and blushed.

"Favorite kind of icecream, go." Kai said suddenly, desperate for a distraction from her thoughts.

(Sweet!)

Laura looked up. "Um… Oreo cookie."

"Good choice." Her lips quirked up in a half smile. "Mine depends on the day. It's usually something with chocolate though."

Laura nodded thoughtfully. "Chocolate is good."

"It's exceptionally good. Great pick me up, too." Kai chuckled as they pulled into the parking lot of the ice cream shop.

"Yeah," Laura said quietly. She played with a corner of her notebook.

"Well then, let's go get you some ice cream!" She turned to look at Laura, eyes alight with excitement.

She blushed. "Okay."

Even her blush- Kai hopped out and came around to open Laura's door. "I probably come here too often, and I can't tell if that's bad or not."

(Kind thought so XD)

"I don't think it's bad at all," Laura said shyly. "Thank you."

Kai thought for a second before wrapping an arm around Laura's shoulders they made their way in, and she led the way to a booth in the far corner.

Laura was a bit shocked at the gesture, but she accepted it. Her trusty notebook was still clutched to her chest.

Kai slid into the booth with Laura, and a waitress signaled that she would be there in just a moment.

"I love this place," Laura remarked softly.

"Best ice cream I've ever had. And the atmosphere is amazing." Kai agreed.

"So many ideas for inspiration," she murmured, her eyes sweeping up the details.
