Eve looked up at him through hooded eyes and smiled lazily, "I got you to shut up though, didn't I?" She replied quietly.
Eve looked up at him through hooded eyes and smiled lazily, "I got you to shut up though, didn't I?" She replied quietly.
"So you did." He huffed a bit, tightening his grip for a split second before releasing her and stepping back. He kept close enough to not let her fall. "Let's go get some food, then we can continue if you'd like." He winked.
Eve blushed and nodded a little, “Sounds like a great plan.”
"So let's go. Should I carry you?" He half joked, stepping back again so she would be able to dress and stuff properly.
“I don’t mind if you do or not.” She replied, as she pulled her shirt over her head. She slipped her pants on afterwards, tucking her shirt in before putting on her jacket.
"Alright, just give me directions." Riley moved to Eve, scooping one arm under her legs and using the other to support her back. He started walking, carrying her bridal style away from the lake.
Eve squeaked a little, wrapping her arms around his neck quickly, "I didn't think you'd actually do it."
"Heh, If I say something, I hold myself to it." He kept her close, a goody grin seemingly permanent on his lips.
Eve rested her head against his chest with a small sigh, “Mhm, I can see that.”
Riley found a path that would lead in the right direction and followed it until the road and sidewalk appeared. Then he followed that. "You have two eyes, I hope you see that."
“Oh ha ha, you’re so funny,” Eve said, blowing a strand of hair out her face, “You should become a comedian.”
"Hey! Not a bad idea!" He paused. "I would sweep the crowd off their feet, like I swept you off yours."
Eve groaned and rolled her eyes, “That was a terrible joke.”
"Oh, come on now." Riley faked a pout. "So, maybe a not so good comedian, eh?"
Eve nodded, "Yeah, not a good comedian. Maybe go into weight lifting or something."
"I like the idea of those performers who like, dance with flaming torches." Buildings appeared ahead of them as they neared downtown of the area. "I think it fits my flaming personality."
Eve groaned loudly, burying her face in his chest as if she could escape the statement, "Are you just saying that because you want to make flame jokes and boost your ego?"
"Pft, no." Riley laughed, now walking along a somewhat empty sidewalk. Small shops and buildings lined one side of them, a road fell against the other.
Eve sighed, relaxing into him a little more, "Sure sure, but I doubt you;ll give me a straight answer so I'm gonna stop asking now."
"Which place did you wanna go too?" Riley asked, slowing his pace a bit.
Eve looked around, pointing to a small cafe on the corner of the street, “There.”
Riley nodded and made his way over to it, gently placing Eve on her feet outside the door. "Destination achieved."
Eve grinned, “Thanks for the ride.” She kissed his cheek before opening the door and walking in.
"Of course~" Riley followed her inside, grinning.
The cafe was small but very comforting, plants hanging off of large bookshelves, video games that sat in the corner and tables. It was fairly busy, but it didn't feel crowded.
Riley gently took Eve by the hand and led her to an empty table. "I will go up to the counter and order, what do ya want?"
Eve blushed slightly, ready to protest but knew she wouldn’t win, “Blueberry muffin and an ice coffee, please.”
"Got it~" Riley smiled, turning and moving to the counter. He ordered and stood waiting until a tray was put on the counter in front of him. It held a cinnamon roll, Eve's blueberry muffin and iced coffee, and a glass of iced tea. He returned to the table, setting the tray down.
Today is my last day until spring break. I will not be able to post over the break as I am leaving for family in another state. Im sorry!))
(Hey it's all good! I hope you have fun!)
She grinned widely, placing a soft kiss to his cheek, "Thank-you~" She hummed, taking her drink and the muffin off the tray and setting it in front of her.
