"Oh yeah, that's right!" She scratched her head before taking her apron off. "I walk here, so yeah, I guess I need a ride, so ya aren't following someone who's on the sidewalks."

"Well, it also just wouldn't be polite of me to let anyone walk home in the rain, 'specially if I've got a perfectly working truck." Diana grinned, tossing her cup and digging her keys out of her pocket.

"Thanks," Arwen said, hanging her apron and hat up, and heading for the door. "C'mon," She said, gesturing to Diana.

Deleted user

"Oh, I doubt that! You seem incredibly independent. Someone who doesn't take orders," Arwen replied with total honesty.

((oh so it is common sksksk ignore that one bit about slipping up
"Huh. That's good t' know I guess." Diana shrugged out of her jacket and handed it to Arwen, unlocking her truck from the over hang. It was already running, so it would be warm. "Ready t' make a run for it?"

Deleted user

"Always. I didn't do track for 5 years for it all to go to waste," And so she ran. It wasn't far, but the distance was great enough that they could've gotten soaked if they weren't fast.

"Okay, it's right down the road, where the busy part of town ends," Arwen directed.

Deleted user

"Aw, hey there!" She smiled at the kitten. Arwen looked at Diana. "What's its name?"

@croccin-champagne

"Well that would be Bas. The cat I told ya about. Bas, this is Arwen." She didn't take her eyes off the road, but Bas meowed at her. "She's givin' us a place t' stay for a bit." That answer seemed to be satisfactory, as he returned to staring up at Arwen.

Deleted user

"Nice to meet ya, Bas." Arwen felt a bit strange, talking to a cat and all. She felt the road become rough beneath the tires. "We're almost there," She pointed to a house. "Right there, that's it."

Deleted user

"Yup. It's not the nicest, but I find it cozy enough." I hope no squirrels got in this time. They always tore the house up, and that wouldn't be good considering the circumstances.

(I have shit to do for a bit. I'll be back tomorrow or Monday, k?)

Arwen grinned back at her. This was exciting; she hardly ever had anyone over, let alone a stranger. She opened the door and looked back at Diana. "Well, we'd better get moving. The rain's slowing a bit, and I gotta see if squirrels got in."

Deleted user

"Lately, they've been taking to killing my house," Arwen stated bluntly.

Deleted user

"I don't. They don't want to talk, either," She replied, taking Bas in her arms.

Deleted user

"Alright. Hope he can. They're a pain in the arse," She responded. Looking at her clothes, she was now soaked.
