I want to run away with you. The phrase caught in the back of my throat. I swallowed it quickly, knowing it would ruin the mood. I couldn’t say it. Not here and not now. So I let my cheeks flush pink and smiled, my eyes sparkling with adoration as I stared at the beautiful girl in front of me.
For a moment, I saw his blissfully happy expression falter. But a split second later and he was smiling again, so brightly that I thought I must have imagined it.
Filling the silence, Greg called us up to the counter, presenting us with two huge cones, each Kaden with multiple scoops f ice cream.
I got up with the intention of grabbing both our cones before remembering that wasn’t going to work with one arm. Instead I waited for Juliet to get up with me.
I grinned mischievously, handing Romeo his huge ice cream.
“Ta da!~”
“This is both intimidating and incredible.” I shook my head in amazement, sitting back down with the ice cream and staring at it.
“You’re supposed to eat it, not stare at it,” I teased him, nudging it carefully closer to his mouth.
“I know, I know. I’m soaking it all in.” I protested lightly, gently, licking the first scoop of ice cream. I froze instantly, licking my lips as I took in the taste. I didn’t even step to tell Juliet my opinion, biting into the gelato hungrily.
“Don’t bite it!” I warned, but it was too late. He’d already sunk his teeth in.
I always bite into ice cream XD))
I yelped not realizing how sensitive my teeth were to the cold. I held the ice cream at arms length, letting out an exaggerated whimper.
(Oof not me
Sorry I left last night)
I burst out laughing, reaching for a napkin and leaning in to dab the once cream from the corners of his mouth. “Oh, Romeo…”
It’s okay! Good morning😄)
My face turned red as Juliet wiped the napkin at the corners of my mouth. I smiled warmly despite my toothache. “It’s a learning process…” I replied giving my ice cream a suspicious look.
(G’morning
How’re you?)
I flicked his nose affectionately before pulling away. “Eat it slowly. With your tongue. Don’t bite it!”
“I will.” I tentatively began to eat the ice cream again. “This is awesome.”
“Mm.” I flashed him a grin. “Now you’ll taste like dark cherries and chocolate when I kiss you.”
“That was your plan all along wasn’t it?” I smirked, trying to pace myself while also eating the ice cream before it melted.
“Definitely.” Almost finished all four scoops of my ice cream, I bit a hole at the bottom of the cone and sucked the rest into my mouth.
“What the hell did you just do?” I stared at her in surprise, ice cream dripping down my chin.
I burst out laughing. “What? Did I do something wrong?”
“I didn’t realize I was dating a vampire.” I laughed, shaking my head in amusement. “You’re insane.”
“Oh, come on!” I protested, licking the last crumbs from the cone off my lips. “That’s not fair—I didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I’ve never seen anyone do that before.” I stared at her, a bit shocked.
“You’ve never eaten ice cream before,” I pointed out, more than a bit sarcastic. “So you can’t exactly say that you have a broad experience.
“But How doesn’t it not spill everywhere?” I tilted my head to the side, trying to puzzle out the situation.
I shook my head in amusement. “I catch it all in my mouth.”
“You’re weird.” I laughed, teasing her playfully.
I stuck my tongue out at him, folding my napkin into a little square.
I sipped the rest of my now melted ice cream out of the cone like a drink. “I think I love ice cream.”
Pouting, I gave him a dramatic doe-eyed look. “More than you love me?”
“I’d trade all the ice cream in the world for you. You know that.” I leaned against the table, gazing at her.
“You need to sort out your priorities,” I teased, sneaking a glance in Greg’s direction before slipping into Romeo’s lap.
