He studied his lover's expression closely, wishing he knew what to say.

Bailey looked wistful, absent. This happened a lot when he thiught of the dismal past. He just needed a distraction.

“Tell me about your new job,” George promoted, attempting to draw Bailey from his sorrowful thoughts.
