Eyelashes are hard, I agree.
Guys I need assistance
My friend isn't helping me at all with this picture I'm drawing, and whenever I ask she says "A lot"
so I decided to come to you all because her and I's styles are totally different.
Oof that's okay.
Also I did do some updating on it and now I'm struggling on the face itself x3
@MeatyHips do you still need help?
I think it’s his neck… the size of one arm (shoulder to elbow, elbow to hand) is the head, so if your head is too small, then the neck won’t be either. From its view the neck wouldn’t be that stiff… it looks like a 3/4 view, how I try and fiz stuff is I turn my head over to the position and feel where the the neck is connected. The doodle you have has a small head, I just noticed it lol. Uh, if it’s a 3/4 view then yes the neck drawn from the head on the right (the line itself) is correct, but the left one can go a little bit to the right, just a small bit so it doesn’t look like a small doll head was glued onto a thick Boi’s neck. I recommend either fixing up the neck or just making the head a bit bigger.
Yeah. Thin up his neck and maybe make his ear a tad larger. :T But that's just what I can guess is the issue. I'm not good at drawing dudes.

Same
I changed it around a bit, but I left my sketchbook at home. When I get home I'll share it with y'all
Yeet
The proportions are a little… weird, to say the least, but with a few references, It can look great! Nice job.
and maybe make his ear a tad larger
A pro tip for ears: The top of the ear should be in line with the corner of the eye, and the bottom should line up with the nose.

Thank you for that, I literally avoid drawing ears like a disease. Can I have some tips on muscles? I wanted to draw Chrom from Fire Emblem buttttt I cant. I can’t draw muscles at all, so can I have some tips?

I GOT YOUR BACK
I'm telling you, this guy is great. He even goes over ways you can simplify/stylize the different details so you're not limited to realism. His entire Anatomy Quick Tips series is one of the most helpful things I've ever come across, 10/10, would recommend.

I can’t watch YouTube at school rippppppppppp
Thanks, I'll work on that!
NUUUUUU Well then, I've got nothing… Sorry
It’s alright
Okay so many hours later I have returned
Annnnd i hate it
Didkdkdodkdkdkdkodd all of the stupid trouble i went through only for it to get ruined at the eyes
So ignore the shit shading, and the eyes, and basically everything about the face
Here you go, warning again for the good christian eyes or whatever
Okay. Imma try and give some constructive criticism here. My advice is a little invalid though cause I can't draw guys in the first place. This is entirely judging off tips I've seen on IG.
So first of all, his neck is still UBER thick. Unless he is the worlds buffest man or he does weights with his neck, it should be a little thinner, seeing as it's about as thick as his head.
Second, his eyes are a tad too close. That might just be the way he looks, but move one eye over just a tad and it should look natural. The rest of the face looks great though!
Third, the ear is a little too small. They should go from the edge of his eyes, all the way down to his mouth region.
Fourth, the male anatomy is pretty detailed. You can leave it simple if you want, but something about it feels flat. I also suggest making his muscles a bit more square. Men tend to have much more angular bodies than women.
So that is basically all the advice I can give. I think his expression looks great. He definitely looks angry. And the hand is AMAZING. I am not one for such rude gestures (I am a good christan (more like LDS but same catagory) so yeah) but I can stand them. And despite the man flipping me off, I'm cool with it cause his hand is so nicely drawn. Ha ha. After maybe thinning the neck, it might look really good. The veins and muscles in it are fairly accurate to a normal neck. His elbow looks good! The elbows I draw always end up looking too pointy, but seems like you have figured out how to draw them.
That's all I got. I hope it helps! It's a really nice drawing, and with small adjustments, it could become super amazing! <3 I hope I didn't completely destroy any sense of pride you had in this drawing…. cause I personally feel like whenever I give "constructive" criticism I feel like such a jerk. Just know that I love your art and you are super talented! Keep up the good work Emi!
Ty @Soup_Nana_and_co! Like I said perviously, it's my first time in a LONG WHILE that I've drawn faces at such an angle (far away, at least) and just male bodies in general. The neck is an easy fix (though I'll have to change the deltoids ughgjghgnfhfndjksksnds) but I'm not so sure what to do about the flat body etc, I found the simplest reference and just used it as to not confuse myself into not making such a big jump. I'll change the ear back then, bc I originally had it somewhat bigger than what it was.
Also thank you on the hand bit. Originally that was what the piece was, just the hand, which is why it's so detailed and stuff. Hands are nice. I like hands.
Don't feel like a jerk, you delivered what I wanted. And thank you! I love your art too.
^_^ Glad I could help!

He’s a thick boi XD.
I am not the best person for body anatomy, but faces I’m the best with, and necks(as in it’s the only thing I can kind of draw…) the neck is WAY too thick, extremely thickness. He is in 3/4 view correct? If so then the right side is right, the left side however isn’t. If it helps try and have the left part of the neck go a bit just a small bit over from where the left cheek and chin meet. Sine he looks buff, and from his head looking a bit smaller then anything pro tip: the head is usually the size of shoulder to elbow, and elbow to hand, torso is similar, half of the torso is one head, the bottom is the same. So if you really want to check try rulers, finger measurements, protractors, and other things, even a pencil laying down on the paper can help. the ear, it looks good but I can’t critic it because well I never draw ears and when I do they’re garbage. The hand is amazing, I never drew hands well, and I probably won’t until I constantly draw them. The only thing that seems a bit off is the arm, well being frank the part of the arm going from shoulder and elbow, it seems a bit short, and the other part of the arm is fine. The shading, some of it is a bit off, okay the arm pit area. Depending on the lighting it should either be a bit darker and go out a bit farther, or be thinner. You didn’t shade enough really, the neck doesn’t look shaded, the arm could be shaded, so can the hand and face, I only see a bit on the neck and the armpit. I’m fine with shading, but too little shading makes me a bit mad, especially when there’s only really one place. I know it isn’t done just wanted to point it out. Now the eyes, I use this tutorial, and the eyes should *if they’re the same size) be seperated by around one eye of the same size. Your eyebrows on the character, bring the right one up a bit, the chest, okay so ment sometimes have less curves, men chests are only really rounded from fat or water weights, and since he is muscular it will be a bit more square shaped.
Well yeet yote howdy I took the advice the best I could and now I have the "stunning" piece.
Only when I was editing and cropping the picture did I realize the angle was alllllllllll wonky. So um… sorry that you had to cope through that. I tried to fix it through the twist of the torso I was trying to pull off, and I don't think it looks good. I think if I did the whole page/body with just this, it would look better (the sprial of my sketchbook kinda got in the way lol).
Anyway I think I have a renewed sense of "why the hell I hate eyes". Anyway enough of me bellyaching here's the final result.
once again Christian child eyes please look away
Nice! He is starting to look really good. (Also, might just be me, but I think the fact that there are three dates beside him is hilarious. Excuse my over-observation.) I like that you are adding more shape to his muscles. It really helps even out the drawing. The abs do look slightly too harsh. The abdominal muscles tend to have a certain amount of shape and shape to them, rather than just a checker pattern (not that the abs in your drawing look like a checker pattern. That's how the abs I draw end up looking. Ha ha.) I suggest looking up abs and what they look like, because using references is totally allowed. I use them all the time. And if you want the world to know that you were looking up abs for the sake of drawing, add drawing the the search, cause I know that if people looked at my search history and saw the searches for "abs" and "man muscles" they'd be thoroughly confused. Ab drawings tend to be easier to reference because the lines are more prominent.
And, of course, you can leave the drawing be and be happy with how it looks. I think it looks great, but there is always room for improvement. I'd totally understand if you want to be done with it cause you are sick and tired of making changes.
Again I can't say how good that hand is. Flippin (heh get it) amazing! I can't even draw hands so I applaud you with these blob like looking hands I drew for myself.
And holy cow I just accidentally highlighted the picture and it turned blood red cause that's the color of my highlighter. It's like this man went from angry to fricken ticked off at me in a second.

Ima start here bc I actually did this and was incredibly confused xD
So I think after this milestone check thing?? I'm going to focus on 1) men 2) muscles and 3) angles.
But thank you for the compliments! And ye the three dates beside him got me giggling faintly as I wrote them down, reminding me how pathetic I am to keep tooting the horn on this crushed trumpet xD
So i think 'm done with the piece
Also lmaooooooo I hope I don't give you nightmares!!
