"hmmm, still…" Jester said with a grin "mommy, who was the other man?" he asked out of nowhere

¨Mommies old boyfriend¨ she said.

Brinks eyes got darker but said nothing, just watched.
"But ithought you and Daddy have always been together?" He asked. Jester had a tendencies for sounding smarter than his age

¨Not quite¨ she said.

He had completely lost interest in the game "you cheated on daddy with samuel?"

¨No No No No No I would never I was with samuel before your father¨ she said.

He nodded in understanding and went back to the game

Vanessa got up and quickly walked to the kitchen.

"Daddy, where she going?" Jester asked worriedly
He shook his head "She needs time to think," he said and picked up the tweezers "what next?"

Vanessa went to the kitchen and looked out the window.

They played for a bit, then Brink got up "Jes, would you mind putting away the game?" He nodded and started to tidy up.
Brink went to the kitchen and leaned against the door frame "whatcha thinking?" He asked quietly, taking the knife from the cutting board and putting it away

Vanessa shrugged ¨I don´t know¨ she said.

He nodded "Ive never met your brother, he seems like a nice fellow, was he at the wedding and just missed him or something?"

Vanessa nodded. ¨He was there¨ she said ¨Brink what made you decide i was the one¨ she asked.

He smiled and walked over to her, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his head on hers "I'm a selfish mad man who didn't want share his kitty cat with anyone else. Plus you knocked me out the first time I complimented you so I guess that turned me on." He chuckled "I guess it was me and everyone else telling me that I couldn't be with you, that I couldn't love you the way you deserved, so many other people wanting you, trying to prove that they were better for you, yet you chose me. I wanted to prove that even though I'm the crazy kid, I still could love you more than anyone else. And your cat like charms kinda did me in."

Vanessa smiled ¨I´ll always choose you even if you didn;t want me too¨ she said.

He kissed her head "When have I never wanted you my cat?"
Jester came in "awwww daddy I cleaned up!"
Brink smiled at his son "good job Jes, come here." He picked his son up and spun him around in the kitchen "weeeeeee!! Mommy look Im flying!!!!!"

Vanessa smiled ¨I see Jes¨ she said.

He reached to his mother "mommy are you and Daddy still mad?"

¨Define Mad Jester¨ she said.

He glared at his mother and sighed "mad like standing in front of a knife he's pointing at your ex boyfriend. That mad."

¨Ask your father¨ she said.

He rolled his eyes and smiled "what happened to the sweet, tender moment we were having 2 minutes ago?" He shook his head and smiled "no Jes, I'm not mad, not anymore."

Vanessa kissed brink quickly ¨There¨.

"that's it?" He wined. Jester smiled "the rest are for me," he kissed his mother's cheek
Brink shook his head in disbelief "how dare you take her from me like that." He started to tickle Jester

¨wow brink your jea;ous of your own son´ she teased.

The child squeeled in delight
" No, of course not." He kissed her head and winked at Jester.

Vanessa shook her head and laughed.

Brink smiled and walked off to the living room "ok maybe just a little."
"Aw daddy don't be jelous, I'll love mommy for the both of us!" He's said happily
"Thanks Jes but I think I'm doing fine e for now."
