He nodded as she spoke and smiled "It's not childish, I'm sure all of us are afraid of the dark, of the unknown." He said. He gently squeezed her hand "nothing going to happen."
He nodded as she spoke and smiled "It's not childish, I'm sure all of us are afraid of the dark, of the unknown." He said. He gently squeezed her hand "nothing going to happen."
She blushed, "That just made me ten times more embarrassed about it." She mumbled, smiling softly at the ground. "What about you? Tell me more about yourself."
He chuckled "good to know I make you blush and embarrassed." He thought for a moment "well, my favorite color is navy, I love rock music, I like fantasy and reading. Things I hate…people telling what I can't do and mostly annoying people. I'm scared of…losing. not in a competitive way, more of a person or object way." He glanced her "you know?"
"I know what you mean," She nodded and looked up at him, nudging him with her shoulder, grinning slightly "Don't worry, you won't be able to get rid of me easily."
He chuckled and nodded "yeah my cousin and closest friend made it very clear that they'd kill me if I lost my chances with you." He flipped the coin "right." He started to hum as they walked
Scarlett laughed and listened to him hum, "What song?" She looked up at him and smiled as they walked, rubbing the back of his hand with her thumb.
He blushed, realizing what song he had started to hum "Irresistable by Fall Out Boy."
"That's a good song," She said, smiling at his blush, "The blush on your cheeks suits you quite well."
That just made him blush harder "ahh haha yeah, I love the band." He traced circles in her hand and smiled
She smiled and shrugged lightly, "I'm more of a Twenty One Pilots fan, or American Authors." She looked around as they walked, seeing the next intersection a few yards away.
He smiled "not bad not bad, what about panic at the Disco? Or Three day grace?" He flipped the coin "left."
"Flip number eight," she said, nodding, "I like a few songs from Panic at the Disco, and I've actually never heard of Three day grace, what is their music like?" She turned to the left and kept walking, starting to him more songs from The Greatest Showman.
He thought for a moment "it's kinda like fall out boy bit more depressing lyrics and lots of yelling. But in a good music kinda way not random." He said. "Only way to really describe it. I'll play some tomorrow at the studio if you'd like."
She nodded happily, "Sure, I'd like that." She smiled and continued to hum, swinging her arms exaggeratedly.
He laughed "your going to rip my arm out of it's socket." he shook his head "right here, right now i put the offer out."
"I don't want to chase you down
I know you see it," she sang, grinning happily. She stopped swinging her arms and squeezed his hand instead.
"You run with me And I can cut you free Out of the drudgery and walls you keep in." HE leaned his head on hers and smiled, glancing up at the sky
She giggled and continued to sing, "So trade that typical for something colorful, And if it's crazy, live a little crazy" She smiled.
"You can play it sensible, a king of conventional Or you can risk it all and see" he gave theatric bow and winked with a smile
"Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play
'Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride," she grinned and danced slightly.
"It'll take you to the other side 'Cause you can do like you do Or you can do like me." He danced along with a smiled, coming up behinder and singing softly as if trying to persuade her of the words he spoke
She felt slight goosebumps form on her arm and she smiled, "Stay in the cage, or you'll finally take the key," She looked over her shoulder at him and tapped her hand against her leg to the beat.
"oh damn, suddenly your free to fly, I'll take to the other side," he sang as he glanced down at her, flipping the coin and turning left, not breaking the little dance they had going on
"Okay, my friend, you want to cut me in, Well I hate to tell you, but it just won't happen," she pretended to be seirous and spun away from him, hanging onto his hand as she did.
He smirked and spun her back to him "so thanks, but no I think I'm good to go." He winked and walked away from her
'Cause I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in," She grinned and shrugged slightly, walking alone but watching him nonetheless, "Now I admire you, and that whole show you do, you're onto something, really it's something," She looked over at him and winked as well, "But I live among the swells, and we don't pick up peanut shells, I'll have to leave that up to you."
"Don't you know that I'm okay with this uptown part I get to play" he jogged ahead and spun on his heal, flipping his collar up as he sang "'Cause I got what I need and I don't want to take the ride I don't need to see the other side," he flicked a hand in dismissiveness as he walked off with a smirk
"So go and do like you do," She waved him off and then pointed to herself, "I'm good to do like me, Ain't in a cage, so I don't need to take the key." She shook her head and spun, holding her arms out at her sides, "Oh, damn! Can't you see I'm doing fine, I don't need to see the other side."
He walked lazily towards her, acting as if he were sad to see her go, his face somber "Now is this really how you like to spend your days? Whiskey and misery, and parties and plays." He waved his hand around to complete the act
She motioned around them as she sang, "If I were mixed up with you, I'd be the talk of the town, Disgraced and disowned, another one of the clowns." She shook her head and continued walking.
