"Shut up..I knew I shouldn't have told you." She said, walking outside and stopping by the garden. A small smile appeared on her face and she shook her head, rolling her eyes, "Just ignore him." She told herself as she walked inside.
"Shut up..I knew I shouldn't have told you." She said, walking outside and stopping by the garden. A small smile appeared on her face and she shook her head, rolling her eyes, "Just ignore him." She told herself as she walked inside.
Miles laid down on his bed and crossed his legs. Things seemed a bit weird after what she told him, but most of it was practically the same. "Just saying, you brought this upon yourself." He decided to say to her as she came in.
Emmeline rolled her eyes, "Just, don't bring up that conversation any more, either part of it." She felt her cheeks grow hot and she went to the kitchen, just standing around.
"Fine," He frowned. "I won't." Miles crossed his legs and kicked back, his arms behind his head on the pillow. Then what the hell was the point of that conversation anyways? If I don't want to mention you loving me… Or me loving you… Or you leaving me…. Then… He rolled his eyes. This'll be great from here on out…
She eventually walked over to her bed and laid down, looking at the ceiling and generally just trying to not make a fool out of herself since Miles we around.
Miles really didn't want to say anything to her since she didn't really want to talk to him. I guess I'll just…. He glanced at the hole in the wall. … Repair that and the table after I take a quick 2 hour nap…. He closed his eyes and drifted off soon.
Emmeline sighed and closed her eyes, not quite asleep but not awake either. She started daydreaming and found herself falling asleep, drifting off.
At least two and a half hours passed, and Miles woke up with tired eyes. Ugh…. He sat up and rubbed his face, thinking that getting out of his bed was too much effort. I suppose she just meant it platonically…. He swung his feet around, and sat there for a moment before heaving himself to his feet. Miles went to the kitchen, staring down at the broken table. “….Maybe I should fix that…” Assuming my identity is still hidden from other people…
He grabbed both parts and managed to drag them both outside in one trip to the wood chopping stump. So how am I gonna do this….?
She continued to sleep, dreaming and rolling onto her side. Her eyelids fluttered and she curled into a ball, not waking up when Miles went outside.
It was quite a simple thought. I’ll just put them together and nail a board or few underneath to connect them…. Miles put the table pieces together upside down on the stump. He fetched his hammer and a few nails left over from the shed and some flattened wood. He nailed it down, trying not to break it any more than it already was, and then he waited a bit. For whatever reason, his wrist was a bit blistered and his hand was sore. So much for punching a wall…
Emmeline pressed her eyes shut and rolled onto her back, stretching as she sat up. She looked around through half closed eyes and sighed, laying back down but not falling asleep.
Miles managed to repair the table in a matter of minutes, and he picked it up and carried it into the house relatively quickly. He slid it across the floor and back to where it belonged in the kitchen. Although I have no idea how to repair the hole in the wall….
"Did you fix the table?" Emmeline asked, hearing him come back into the house. She kept her eyes closed and her breathing even, hoping to look like she wasn't quite awake yet.
He didn't answer her as he headed into the bathroom to take the bath he forgot to take the other day. Gotta keep myself clean. Miles closed the window shade and the door before getting undressed.
She sighed when he didn't answer and she sat up, heading outside and stretching again. Emmeline smiled and shook her head, heading back inside and sitting back on her bed.
(Pfft like what the heck? In or out? Choose one!!)
Miles filled the tub and stepped inside. Warmer than usual – I like it. He settled down in it and sat there, singing nicely to himself.
(XD)
She just sat on the edge of her bed, swinging her legs and humming softly to herself. Emmeline debated what to do, finally deciding that she'd try to fix the hole in the wall.
An unsettling amount of time has passed since he got in, but the water was so comfortably warm he didn't want to get out. I could stay in this tub for days… He leaned back and put his arms behind his head, totally relaxed.
She sighed and stood up, walking to the bathroom door and knocking lightly, "Miles? Where's the hammer and nails? I'm going to try to fix the hole in the wall." She shifted on her feet and fiddled with the hem of her shirt as she planned how to fix the hole.
(Because… you know…. you plan stuff out by messing with your shirt, lol)
He was a bit startled, and he flinched. “Um…. I don’t know if I have any more nails, but I left the hammer outside on the wood chopping stump. I think.” Miles figured it was finally time to get out, and he pulled the stopper and drained it out before climbing from the tub and grabbing his towel. I don’t understand why I profoundly refuse to take baths sometimes…. He dried himself off and yanked his pants on, coming out and scrubbing his hair with the towel.
Emmeline nodded and glanced at Miles, blushing slightly and nodding again, "Ok, I'll go see if there's any more nails." She walked outside and shook her head, feeling her face grow more red as she grabbed the hammer and started searching for nails.
Miles let his towel fall to his shoulders as he sat down on his bed. “Sure thing….” I was gonna fix it but I guess I should let her help me since she wants to so bad….
"I didn't find any nails," she said as she came back inside with the hammer. She walked into his room and set the hammer on her bed.
"….What's your point?" Miles glanced at her. "You can go out and get some if I give you money – You're a big girl now," He smirked. "You can go and do things yourself without me holding your hand…"
Emmeline rolled her eyes and felt her face heat up again, "I know, I was going to ask you if you wanted me to go buy some." She glanced over at him and tried to hide her bright red face.
"Only if you really want. I'll give you some money and you can get them, I guess." Miles stood up and tossed his coin sack to her. Although I could use a new dagger or weapon or something…
"Alright, I'll be right back, do you need anything else?" She headed to the door with the money in her hand and raised an eyebrow, waiting for his answer before she left.
"Do you mind grabbing a 6-inch dagger from the armory or something? My other one is getting dull and I don't have anything to sharpen it with… I don't think…." He sat back on his bed. "But it's better to have one now than when you need one…." He shrugged. "But that'll be it. And make sure you're back by dinner time."
"Yes Mom," She joked, waving a hand dismissively as she walked outside. She grinned and shook her head as she headed towards town, holding the money tightly in her hand.
"Well, someone has to keep an eye on you," He muttered, letting out a sigh. Now what can I do until she gets home….? Miles was about to jump and say hunting when he realized the consequence he was overreacting about just an hour or two earlier. Best if I just stay here and chill or something… Wash clothes… But even then I might get caught. Yet who out there really knows that I'm a werewolf…?
