forum Rykah and Will(because I can't think of a better title)

Rykah growled, "I told you I'm not a freak!" he said angrily.

“Whatever you say, freak.”

Rykah lunged for him, taking a swing at his face. "I'm not freak!"

“Rykah!” Will yelled, hoping to catch rykah before anything happened.
Dalton was already somewhat beat up from the earlier fight, and caught Rykah’s swing hard.

Rykah growled at him seething as a second swing went for Dalton's gut. I refuse to be called a freak! he thought, not hearing Will for once.

Dalton doubled over, and Will caught Rykah’s arm. “Rykah.”

Rykah blinked, eyes meeting Will's instantly backing away, Oh no… not again…

Will pulled him back, frowning.

Rykah would've followed but he suddenly paled, tripping as his leg buckled with pain. Rykah gasped in panic, agony swiping through his wing almost simultaneously as he fell.

Will cursed, kneeling down next to him. “Rykah?!”
Dalton laughed lightly in the background, while Will’s siblings watched carefully.

Rykah tried to keep from yelling as tears came, pain sweeping through him. It also didn't help that Dalton was laughing, he really wanted to hurt him, and hurt him bad. But he couldn't do anything with this agony.

Will desperately wanted to get out of the situation, away from the laughing Dalton, and prying eyes of the other people in the park. He wanted to go home and sit with Rykah until the pain went away. He looked at Jack pleadingly, begging him to open a portal and let them leave. But jack just shook his head.

Rykah was crying by now, pain ripping through him. Every feather was on end in a half panic as he choked back cries of pain, knowing he couldn't risk any unnecessary attention.

“Rykah, Listen, deep breaths, remember?”

Rykah nodded, doing his best to ride it out. Every part of him hurt as pain ripped up his leg, and down his spine from his much more sensitive wing.

Finn knelt down next to Will, and whispered, “I can put him to sleep. It won’t hurt him….” Will wasn’t sure if he liked the idea, and he definitely didn’t want to without asking Rykah first.

Rykah whimpered, "anything… please…" he managed to choke it out, unable to hide the pain in his voice.

Finn quickly placed his hand on Rykah’s forehead, and knocked Rykah unconscious. Will caught Rykah quickly.

Rykah immediately went quiet as everything went black, his wings falling limp and stretching out a little as he fell into Will's arms.

Will pulled him closer, and Jack said, “Ready?”
Will nodded, and Jack opened a portal, and suddenly Will and Rykah were in Will’s bedroom.

Rykah slept on soundly, not moving but breathing slowly and deeply, as if nothing was wrong.

Will laid Rykah out on the bed gently, putting an arm around his shoulder and pulling Rykah close to him.

It took about an hour before Rykah finally came to, drowsy and confused he instinctively pressed closer to Will.

“You awake?” Will asked quietly.

"yeah…" said Rykah quietly, remembering everything in a rush, how he attacked Dalton, the look on Will's face, the helpless feeling…..

“You ok?” Will pulled his arm tightened around Rykah.

"I… i don't know anymore…" said Rykah quietly, melting into Will needily, calming under the comforting pressure.

“Ok.” Will replied quietly and easily. “Don’t worry.”

Rykah stayed quiet, burying his face into Will's chest, crying quietly.

“It’s alright.” Will soothed quietly.
