Hans giggled and wriggled out of her grasp, beggining to crawl around again with his sister. The two sat down face to face, mesmerized at the sight of each other. Cassie reached out her small finger, aiming to poke Hans in the eye.

Macha reached blindly for Tyler’s hand, beaming down at their two children. “Did you see that?” she breathed, utterly enamoured.

(It's perfectly fine)

Tyler laughed quietly and reached out to stop Cassandra from poking Hans. "Yeah, I did. And no poking your brother in the eye." He added, watching Cassie laugh gleefully and roll over onto her side.

(How’re you?)

Hans lurched to the side, giggling gleefully. Macha barely managed to catch him in time, scooping him up and into her arms.

(Fine. You?)

Cassie waved her legs around in the air, gurgling sleepily, before Tyler picked her up so she wouldn't fall asleep on the floor.

(Ish)

Macha plonked a kiss on her son's nose, grinning from ear to ear. "You're adorable," she told him, "You're my miracle."

Cassandra fell asleep after a couple minutes, her head nuzzled into the crook of Tyler's arm. He glanced up at Macha, keeping his eyes on her and Hans.

Hans reached a tiny little fist towards Macha’s hair, unfolding it just enough to tug on a few strands.

Tyler continued gazing lovingly over at Macha and Hans, rocking Cassie slowly.

"Did you get much sleep last night?" Macha asked her husband, bumping her nose against Hans's.

"A bit. More than usual. Did you?" He replied, getting up to set Cassie down in her crib.

“Not really,” she admitted in a low murmur, tucking Hans up against her chest. “Insomnia and children don’t really mix..”

“Leave them to me, okay? You need sleep more than I do.” He replied, walking over to her and kissing her cheek.

“No, no, it’s fine,” she insisted, shaking her head.

“No, it’s not fine. Just for one night, okay? And then we’ll see how you feel in the morning.” He persisted.

“Tyler….” she sighed, but it was clear she was close to caving in.

“Macha..” he imitated quietly, sitting down next to her and wrapping his arms around her waist. “Please?”

"Fine…." Macha finally relented, leaning against him. "But only for a few hours. Wake me up for dinner, alright?"

“Course,” Tyler murmured, lifting a slightly fussy Hans from her arms and setting him down in his crib.

“I love you…” she murmured to the three of them, giving each a kiss on the forehead before reluctantly heading up the stairs.
