An enormous grin split his anxious expression into two. “You like the surprise, I take it?” he teased, leaning backwards against the wall.

Kasey lifted the dress up to herself to make sure it would fit — it did, of course. He knew her so well…

"I love it. Oh my gosh, Barry," she breathed, setting the dress back down on the bed and turning to face him. Taking a few steps closer, she slung her arms around his neck in a tight hug. "Thank you… So much…"

Barry grinned and pressed his mouth against hers. “Anytime, love, anytime. You have no idea how relieved I am…” He slipped his arms around her waist. “I was afraid you wouldn’t like it..”

"Are you kidding? I love it," Kasey laughed, kissing him back. And then kissing him again and again and again… When she stopped, she grinned up at him, dropping back down from her tiptoes. "Thank you."

Barry flushed pink, ruffling his already-messy hair. “Like I said, Kase, anytime,” he mumbled, clearly flustered. “Why don’t you go try it on? We need to leave soon, anyways, if you still want to go out for dinner.”

Kasey grinned and hugged him tighter for a moment before letting go. She picked the dress up off the bed, then stepped over to the bathroom, shooting Barry a quick smile over her shoulder. "I'll always want to go to dinner with you," she declared as she disappeared into the bathroom, the door clicking shut behind her.

Barry laughed softly and shook bjs head, a blush still staining his cheeks. After a moment, he hastened to open their shared wardrobe, pull out a sleek black suit, and put it on as fast as possible.

Kasey stepped out of the bathroom a while later, her hair curled to perfection and her makeup nearly flawless. The dress fit her amazingly, like it was made for her, and she absolutely loved it. Upon seeing Barry in a suit, she blinked as her own cheeks were tinted with pink.

"Barr…" she breathed as she looked him over. "Wow…"

Barry felt his jaw hit the floor. “Kasey…” He practically stumbled forward as if bound by a leash and collar, taking her in. “Kasey, you look breathtaking…”

Kasey looked him over, chewing on her lip. Gosh, how could the man look so good in a suit? If he started to wear suits more often, she'd be in trouble…

"I look breathtaking? Barry… Holy crap, I think you literally took my breath away," she whispered, noticing that her feet had somehow taken her so that she was standing directly in front of him. She ran a hand over his chest, feeling the smooth fabric beneath her fingers.

Barry raised both hands to her face, brushing his thumb against the door directly below her lip. “I want to kiss you so badly…” he whispered, taking her unbelievable beauty in. “But I shouldn’t ruin your makeup… God, Kasey, do you have any idea how gorgeous you look?”

Kasey's slight blush deepened at his words, and she looked up to meet his eye. "If I look half as good as you do, I'm sure the stars are jealous of us," she murmured. "I know they're definitely jealous of you right now… Gosh, Barr…"

He wrapped his arms around Kasey’s waist and pulled her to him until their noses were touching. “Not possible…. you shine brighter than the sun, love. You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen..”

"The moon has nothing on you, babe. You're going to be the most amazing looking person in the whole restaurant, if not the world," Kasey murmured, reaching up to cup his cheek with her hand. She tilted her head up slightly so that the tips of their noses brushed together, smiling softly.

Barry chuckled softly, knowing exactly how red his cheeks were. “I really can’t out-compliment you, can I?”

Kasey swept her thumb over his cheek and grinned up at him. “Not this time. I'm determined."

Barry arched an eyebrow and tugged Kasey against him, bowing his head until his lips brushed the crook of her neck. “Are you, now?”

Kasey sucked in a slow breath at the light touch of his lips on her skin. “Mmhm…”

Tightening his arms around her waist, he angled his face upwards and pressed a kiss to the underside of her jaw, slow and tender.

Kasey bit her lip as she tilted her head away, giving him more room. No marks before dinner…

“Oh, no,” he chuckled, pulling away. “I’m not giving you any more than that. Now come on, let’s go to dinner.”

Kasey sighed and glared at him. “Tease,” she grumbled, her cheeks bright red once more.

“You’re blushing~” he sang, tugging her out into the hall. “Oh, and no wearing high heels. Flats or something easy to move in.”

“‘Course I’m blushing,” Kasey muttered under her breath before looking around for shoes. “Hm… White, silver, or black flats?”

“Mm… white,” he decided after a moment. “Besides, I like being taller than you.”

Kasey turned to him and stuck her tongue out playfully. “Rude. Maybe your girlfriend would like to be taller than you for once,” she joked as she pulled the shoes on.

Barry laughed softly, slipping on a pair of dress shoes. “Come on, Kase, let’s go.”

“I’m coming, I’m coming,” Kasey chuckled, grabbing her purse from beside the door and slinging it over her shoulder. “Ready.”
