"If you fall asleep, you should be ready."

She pressed her lips together. "I'll stay up all night waiting for you if you don't tell me."

"I wanted it to be a surprise!" He whined.

"Then I'll stay up all night!" she declared and ran away with a grin.

"Dammit Starr!" Damian rolled his eyes, heading in the opposite direction. "Don't over pack!"

"You know I will!" she called over her shoulder and turned the corner.

"She will." He muttered.

Starr was overpacked by ten o'clock. She prepared to stay up late, but was asleep by one.

Damian only had a duffel and a backpack packed, his guitar sitting next to them as he dozed on the floor by his bed.

At exactly five a.m, Damian was knocking on Starr's window, grinning. He had a paper bag in one hand, filled with donuts.

Starr jolted awake and rubbed her eyes. When she saw Damian, she ran over and opened the window. "Oh my God, I love you so much right now," she said, looking between him and the doughnuts.

"Welcome to the club. You packed?"

"Yup! Overpacked, as promised!"

"Anything that doesn't fit in my car gets left behind." He tossed the bag at her and climbed in to carry out her bags.

She grinned and looked inside. "Did you get jelly? I love you even more."

"What do you take me for, a fool? Of course I got jelly." He rolled his eye, picking up a few of her bags.

She grinned and put the bag on her night stand to help.

"I figure, to make it more fun, we have to sneak everything out."

"It's like we're breaking out," she said with a mischievous grin.

"Uh huh. Now shush, and come on." He grinned, and climbed out the window.

She grabbed the donut bag and her money-filled backpack before following him outside.

Damian dropped the bags into the (trunk thingy?) in the back of his pickup. "Anything important goes in the cab."

(Bed, I think it's called)

She carried the doughnuts, her money bag, and a small purse with her. "Right, sir!"

((nah, you can get trunk things to stick in the bed, often used for fish and things you can't tie down
"Be right back." He ran in and grabbed the rest of her stuff, plopping it in.

She smiled. "Are you ready?"

Damian shut the chest and climbed into the drivers seat, starting the engine. "To get the hell out of here? Fuck yeah."

"Woo!" she agreed. "Let's see the word!"

"You wanna pick the music? Might I recommend All Signs Point To Lauderdale?"
