Brie gripped the staff and took a few steps back. She tried pushing down her nerves. They'd only make it worse. She braced herself and held the staff strategically in front of her. The twins had taught her a few tricks.

Bia quickly pushed herself into a fighting stance. "Remember this is training. I will not hurt you. You need to trust me okay? When I first started training I hit my dad in the face more that a few times." She gave a gentle laugh. "He had bruises for months." She quickly swung her staff towards Brie's, hitting it in such a way that it threw Brie off balance. "But this is training. And I'm guessing that you already know the basics so I'm not going to go easy on you."
Brianna gulped. Bia was strong. And fast. And she had more experience. But, as she had said, this was training. Brie inhaled, exhaled, and swung her staff in a swift movement in an attempt to knock Bia's staff out of her hands, placing one foot farther forward.
Brie knocked Bia back a step. Bia smiled. "That's it Brie! Keep going!" Bia spun around, gaining more speed and force, connecting the two staffs together again, then proceeded with some fencing tactics. "Left, right, step. Left, right, step." Bia repeated to Brie. "That's it. Now faster."
Brie obeyed Bia's orders, repeating them on loop in her head until they became automatic. She was gaining balance and confidence, and she tried a manoeuver she'd taught herself over time. She couldn't explain the movement, it was just something she'd perfected over years of hiding and running.
Brie's movement caught Bia off guard and she fell. She laughed. "Nice one Brie. You think you can teach me that?"
Chuckling to himself, Archia watches on as Brie and Bia fight with two wooden sticks. "That'll be fun to mess around with." He says to the air and heads for the weapons rack, picking up a bow from the archery rack and a few arrows. "hehehe" he laughs sadistically, he turns to the targets pulls back and fires….
Bia grabbed Brie by the collar of her shirt and pulled Brie down beside her as the arrows whizzed right over them. "Hey! Watch where you're aiming those things!!"
She stood up and pulled the arrows from the targets that so happened to be behind them. She grabbed her own bow from the rack and shot them back at Archia, just missing his hair by a few centimeters.
"Next time you decide to aim arrows at your friends don't aim them at the professional archer." Bia smirked and turned back to Brie. "Now where were we?"
"I was about to help you up," Brie said quietly, pride creeping into her voice. She was still a beginner, and she still had a huge amount to learn, but this felt natural, almost fun. She stood up and picked up her staff. "You're a good teacher, Bia." she commented.
"And you are a good student." Bia smiled contentedly. "Alright. Again. Left, right, step. Left, right, step."
(I'm so sorry, guys. I didn't see the new pages at the bottom and I thought nobody was updating I'm so so sorry guys) Helen walked out to see: what could count as a disaster? Archia was holding some big bow thing and Brie and Bia looked like they just surived the shot, everyone else was running around, attempting to train. Helen started towards the throwing knives. They probably weren't the best choice to start with, she was better with close- contact fighting. Maybe someone could help train her in that?
"Hey, Brie, Bia, are you guys okay?" Helen turned towards them but they were already up and fighting again. "Okay, then."
Brie, still filled with adrenaline, twisted around and brandished her staff. She stopped herself just before knocking Helen out.
"Oh, my gosh, Helen I'm so sorry." she gasped. Then, unable to stop herself, she burst out laughing. "Sorry." she wheezed.
"It's okay." Helen couldn't help but laugh a little with Brie. Bia's figure behind her reminded Helen of her dream. She felt a compelling urge towards her knife. In her cabin, she'd done infinant experiments on it and found out that wherever she put it, it would magicaly appear in her pocket again. Probably the metal man's special power. Manipulating metal.
Bia noticed that Helen seemed to be drawn to the throwing knives. "Helen why don't you start with a bo staff like Brie? A bo staff is like the piano of weapons, once you master the bo staff all the other weapons become easier to handle. Hand-to-hand combate is only useful to an extent. You need to know how to wield at least one weapon." She handed Helen her bo staff and took another from the rack. "Both of you come at me." Bia commanded. "The second rule of training and one of the most important. Teamwork." Once again Bia pulled herself into a fighting stance.
Brie glanced at Helen, before stepping forward and swiping at Bia.
Samuel watched intently, eager to try it out.
Brie saw, out of the corner of her eye, Samuel watching them. She distracted Bia with a light hit to her rib, giving Helen an opening.
Bia lept up, over Brie's staff. "When swinging at your opponents legs, make sure to catch them off guard or when they are distracted, because that particular manuever will leave you defenseless."
(Gahh I'm late)
Brie sighed and flicked back her hair, nodding. "I was trying to get an opening."
"And it was a good effort." Bia encouraged her. "But most of your opponents are going to be more skilled then you."
"No kidding." Brie snorted. "Not to mention their weapons will probably be sprouting out of their hands."
Helen lunged at Bia, almost catching her off gaurd before Bia turned and blocked her hit with the bo staff. "Trick question," She got up off the ground. "Everyone is better than me at this."
"Helen, just holding a weapon made me faint when I trained for the very first time. You'll get there." Brie assured her.
(jaz has been gone a really long time)
"I'm just kidding." Helen played with the staff a little bit before looking at Brie. She couldn't communicate telepathically, but she could send her a look that said, now.
Brie stared at Helen, confused. She was trying to communicate something with her eyes. She thought about it, and understood. She turned around and took a step, as if leaving the conversation, then twisted around and knocked Bia to her feet, grabbing her staff from her hands.
(is that what you meant @@generic_name i wasn't sure)
(yes, exactly) Helen saw her chance and took it. She sprinted toward Bia, staff outstretched, and barely avoided Bia's kick. Running to the side, she whacked the staff into the back of Bia's knees. Theoretically, Bia was supposed to fall based on how hard Helen hit her, and the theory stayed firm. Bia fell to the ground and Helen gave Brie a victorious grin.
Samuel clapped loudly, smiling like a puny little idiot, but soon realized he was the only one doing so and his clapping slowed to an awkward silence.
