"What????" asked Rykah sleepily.

“Rykah, you can stay here if you want to, but one of my best friends is back!” Will said excitedly, jumping over Rykah and out of bed, down the stairs.

Rykah blinked, watching him go before dragging himself out of bed, curiously, and sleepily he stumbled downstairs.

(Oh, and by the way, Jesse is literally my favorite character I’ve ever written ever. I love him so freaking much. So much)
A dark skinned, purple haired boy sat at th kitchen table, being checked over by Jack for injuries. Meanwhile, Anna was hugging a tall boy with dark hair, possibly sobbing into his shoulder. Will ran up to the older boy, the one Jack was checking over. He moved Jack out of the way, since Will was much more adept with the medical stuff.

Rykah stumbled downstairs sleepily, his wings/ears drooping a little as his curiosity tried to force him awake. Leaning in the doorway to the kitchen, he watched as Will tended to a guy with purple hair, and another dark haired guy too.

(Oh, Yeah, so about that…. Reed thinks he’s dead…. he’s not. At all. He died… and then he came back. But in a weird half there half not there sort of way. So…. you know. I was originally planning on keeping him dead, but I love him too much to keep him dead.)
“I’m alright, Will, really.” The boy Will was taking care of said.
“Finn, you were dead, there’s no way you’re fine.” Will said conernedly.
“I promise, I’m fine!” Finn said, as Will said, “I can’t fins anything wrong… Jesse, come here, I want to check on you too.”
Jesse pulled away from Anna gently, sitting down so that Will could give him a checkup.
Anna sat down on the floor next to him so she could grab his hand.
“Nothing on you either, Jesse. Except for that.” Will said, pointing to the cut on his forehead.
“I got that coming back here.” Jesse said.

(Elaborate??)
Rykah watched them curiously, but didn't say a word.

“What happened?” Jack asked cautiously, from his seat against Finn’s legs.
“We’re not totally sure. We woke up in a hotel, registered under the name ‘Carlton Marden’. Stupid name, I know, but that’s not the point. Anyway, we turned the tv on, Finn figured if we found the news we could figure out where we were at. Tallahassee. No idea why. So we rented a car, and found you guys again.” Jesse said.
“But what about the cut?”
Jesse just blushed, so Finn said, “He was being an idiot again. He jumped in front of bike to get me out of a bind.”
Anna scoffed. “Of course he did.”
“Who’s that guy?” Jesse asked, changing the subject and pointing to Rykah.

Rykah blinked when the dark haired guy pointed at him. "i'm Rykah…" he said, his brain still half asleep..

Finn turned to look at Rykah. “Oh my god….”

Rykah shrunk a little, "What… never seen a guy with wings??" he asked, finally waking up a little, his tail twitching with his left ear.

“I mean, no, but that’s not what I’m talking about. Sorry. It’s nothing…”

Rykah raised a curious eyebrow, but didn't say anything cause he was still trying to wake up.

“Anyway, do you guys just woke up in a motel?” Anna asked.
“Yeah.” Jesse looked slightly pale all of a sudden, and then Finn said, “Catch him.”
“What?” Anna asked, as Jesse fell sideways out of his chair. Anna cursed loudly, surprised at the sudden appearance of a teenage boy in her lap.
Will rushed up to them and took Jesse’s pulse, sighing in relief when it was still going the rate it was supposed to.
“Jess?!” Anna asked worriedly.
“‘M fine….”

"What the heck??" asked Rykah in confusion, most definitely awake now.

“This happened once already… we aren’t sure why it’s happening.” Finn said, while Jesse groaned.
Anna ran her fingers through his hair, looking at him with increasing concern.

Rykah came over and crouched next to him, studying his face. "This is probably a bad thing…." he said, knowing he was just stating the obvious…

“No crap.” Jack said, being interrupted by Jesse protesting loudly as Anna attempted to move him. “It’s rude to interrupt, Jesse.” He added.
“Shut up, Jack.” Anna snapped.

Rykah watched them in slight confusion, "Will??" He looked to his boyfriend for direction.

“Hold on, babe.” Will said, attempting to figure out what was wrong with Jesse.
“How long did it last the first time?” He asked Finn.
“Only about five minutes.” He said, as Jesse began waking up.

Rykah sat down on the floor, half blushing as he thought about Will, before shaking it off and watched him do his work.

(I have been cuddling a screaming child for the past three hours…
I have listened to Baby Shark! Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo …… 13 or so times…
And now I have a headache, and I never ever wanna see sharks or Pocoyo ever again…
Oh yeah.. and I got paid a donut…)

(Oof jeez)
“Sit down.” Will said firmly, pushing Jesse back down as he struggled to stand up.
“I’m fine.” Jesse argued.
“You’re obviously not, now listen to me.” Will said, “Follow my finger with your eyes, without moving your head.” Will moved his finger back and forth and up and downC and when Jesse passed that test, he began asking questions. “Can you breathe?” A nod from Jesse. “Dizzy?” A shake of the head. “Fuzzy memory?” Another shake of the head. “Jack go get me some water, please.” Jack got up and filled a glass with water.
“Drink this.” Will handed the water to Jesse.

Rykah watched him carefully the whole time.

Jesse rolled his eyes, saying, “I’m fine, Will. All better.” Anna smacked him lightly, just hard enough to reprimand him for not doing what Will told him to. He frowned and chugged the water with a defiant glare.
“Why don’t we go sit in the living room? More comfortable.” Jack said, reaching a hand out to help Jesse off of Anna. Jesse took it, pulling himself up. Anna stood up after that, making sure she had a hand on Jesse’s shoulder in case he fell again.
Will stood up and reached a hand out to Rykah.

Rykah took it, "and I thought my dad was weird" he said.
