Tyler looked back down at Hans, nodding a bit. “I’m surprised.” He said as his son stuck his tongue out at him.

Finally, Cassandra calmed down, lulled into a peaceful slumber by her mother's hasty singing.

“You’re an angel.” Tyler remarked, “Such an amazing mother. And an amazing wife. I love everything about you. I feel like I don’t say that enough.” He continued, deliriously happy.

Macha looked up, and her eyes filled with emotion. "Tyler…" she whispered, exhaling slowly. "I—I don't know what to say, I—"

Tyler just smiled to himself and continued to let Hans wrap his chubby fists around his finger.

Cradling Cassandra to her chest, she smiled back. "Do you remember him? My father?"

"Not very well, aside from the first time I met him." Tyler answered truthfully.

Macha nodded in understanding, but her smile never faltered.

"He has your eyes." Tyler realized, not needing to look at her for a reference.

"And she has yours…" Macha answered fondly, letting her own drift shut.

"And you're about to fall asleep." He whispered in return, gently lifting Cassandra out of Macha's arms, hoping she wouldn't protest.

Macha let out a soft noise of complaint, but she was already asleep, slumping forwards over her lap.

Tyler set the twins down in their (carrier thing ig) momentarily and laid Macha down more comfortably on the couch with a blanket before gently picking up the twins again and sitting down with them both.

Macha made a quiet noise, still sleeping as a peaceful smile crossed her face.

Tyler stood Hans up for what seemed like the hundredth time, the little boy still giggling and burbling happily despite having fallen over multiple times. Tyler held Hans gently around the waist and let him balance himself on the couch before letting him go to try and walk by himself, smiling and shaking his head at Macha slightly, who was across from him.

Macha only had eyes for her children as she knelt down, opening her arms. A laugh spilled from her lips and her eyes were sparkling with joy as she beckoned, grinning from ear to ear.

Hans shrieked with laughter and took a step before falling into Macha’s outstretched arms, snuggling close to her chest. Cassandra, meanwhile, continued crawling around happily, occasionally attempting to poke her brother curiously.

Macha clutched him to her chest, bringing her knees up and completely smothering him in kisses and unbelievably joyful praise. “My boy, my baby boy..” she kept repeating, over and over and over again.

Hans giggled and wriggled out of her grasp, beggining to crawl around again with his sister. The two sat down face to face, mesmerized at the sight of each other. Cassie reached out her small finger, aiming to poke Hans in the eye.
