Met nodded a little. “I have some clothes. And my food. But that”s really it.” He shrugged. “So I guess not.”

Deleted user

"Okay. We can always get you some more clothes if you'd like. And don't worry, we can order online or something." She replied. Micah went to speak with an adoption worker.

Deleted user

“O-oh, But I also have my truck. And money.” He had a full wallet of money, his ID for driving, and his keys. “I think I should at least get those…”
The adoption lady beamed, sitting up. “Hi there! How may I help you?”

Deleted user

"You have a truck? Do you get to use it here?" Olive asked him. "We can most definitely take those with us as well."

Micah smiled to the woman. "Hi, we've made our pick." He told her.

Deleted user

Met nodded. “I just never go out. I don’t have anywhere to go.” He shrugged. “But I’d like to have them.”
The woman nodded, clicking open a new window on her computer. “Alright! Who did you chose? I’ll have to print out their papers and the registration form.”

Deleted user

"Then you take it with you, I can give you our GPS and you can drive to the house. Okay?" Olive suggested.

Micah glanced back at the two. "Met. That's who we chose."

Deleted user

Met nodded a little. “That sounds good. Thank you.” He looked down at his feet again.

The lady happily clicked her teeth as she printed out his things. “He”s such a sweet boy. You’ll love him.”

(Also, I’m changing Met’s sexuality to Omnisexual just for the sake of this RP. You’re welcome ^-^)

Deleted user

((Oh, thank you))

"Yeah, he's pretty cool." Micah agreed.

Olive regarded Met and his impressive height. "We're gonna need to get you a bigger bed." She annouced, more for Micah to hear as she sat with the worker.

Deleted user

(Eheheh. Now we can fluff)

The woman chuckled and handed him the papers. “There you are. You and your wife just have to fill this out.”

Met rubbed the back of his head nervously, scuffling his bare feet. “Y-Yeah. You will, I guess.”

Deleted user

((Yay!))
Micah smiled and nodded, taking the papers. "Thank you." He told the lady before turning to Olive and Met. "Why don't we go find somewhere to sit and them we can chat some more." He said, leading the two to an empty table not too far off. Olive sat beside Micah and produced two pens from her purse, already the resourceful mother figure.

Deleted user

Met nodded and scooted over to the table with a distinct atmosphere of awkwardness. He smiled nervously as he sat, crushing his legs under the table to help make room for the other two.
“So-So what does the paper ask for?”

Deleted user

"Meh, usual stuff." Micah grunted, taking a pen and getting to work. "Um personal information, insurance, healthcare, questionnaire and background stuff. We had to go through several tests and inspections before we were even qualified to adopt." Olive explained.

Deleted user

Met looked back and forth between the pair and finally, unsurely, resting on Olive. He nodded a little, fiddling his fingers. If they had gotten through tests and stuff, then they had to be good to go home with..

Deleted user

"They ask the same thing over and over. But it's necessary, I get that. These are kids their giving away." Micah said, tucking the pen behind his ear as he read one of the pages.
Olive looked to Met as she set her pen. "After we finish this, would you like to get some food? We can eat and chat."

Deleted user

(*they’re)

Met’s gaze flicked back to Micah then to Olive again when she spoke.
“Something to eat? O-oh, Alright.” He smiled faintly, not feeling very hungry. He had eaten a lot yesterday…

Deleted user

"I mean, you don't have to. It was just a suggestion." Micah added. "Frankly, all Olive knows to do is eat. It's her favorite past-time." He laughed as Olive stuck her tongue out at him. Micah wrapped an arm around, pulling her close to his side as he laughed, even though she stubbornly refused to look at him.

"He makes it seem like I should be ashamed or something of enjoying to eat." She grumbled.

Deleted user

Met watched the pair with a slightly tilted head. He understood why people liked to eat. Food was good. Why would Micah try and stop her from eating? His gaze flitted up and away when Micah wrapped his arm around Olive, trying to pretend he wasn’t there. He totally forgot a question was asked.

Deleted user

Micah tried to coax Olive out of her mood, eventually kissing her cheek and muttering an 'I'm sorry'. She accepted it and turned back to Met. "Correction, we can go and do anything. It doesn't have to be to go and eat."

Deleted user

Met rubbed the back of his hand, wiggling when he was put back into attention. “I think eating sounds okay.” His voice was soft and subdued again.

Deleted user

Olive giggled softly as she watched the boy. He fidgeted a lot. "Alright, we can go somewhere nice." She clicked her pen and continued to fill out the paperwork.

Deleted user

Met watched the pen get clicked open with a tiny grin. He liked pens. Especially when he was allowed to click them. The clicking helped him calm down.

Deleted user

((Same Met, same))

The two sat in silence as the wrote and read and then wrote some more. It could've been anywhere between half a hour or little more than an hour when they were done. Micah dropped the pen and worked his hand as Olive sat back, looking over both packets.

Deleted user

Met jumped slightly when the pen was thrown down. After a few minutes of zoning out and enjoying the silence, the sudden noise of even a pen hitting the table would startle him. He smiled a little at the adults, covering his tiny blunder.

Deleted user

Micah looked up to Met when he jumped. "I'm sorry." He said with an apologetic smile.

"Looks like we're all good." Olive announced, rising to stretch.

Deleted user

Met rose a little with Olive, smiling shyly at Micah. “That’s okay. That happens all the time.”

Deleted user

He gave Met a nod before taking Olive's hand. "This is it." He whispered, which she answered with a nod. They held each other's gaze, giving each other the reassurance they both needed. They could do this. They were ready.

Olive looked to Met and then back to Micah. This was her family now. Sure, it would have been much larger had things in the past gone right, but she was grateful for now. for what she had now.

Deleted user

Met blinked shyly past his mat of hair, wiggling uncomfortably in his spot. He felt like he was under a hot, awkward spotlight with a million eyes staring at him. He didn’t like it one bit. He was suddenly itching to go outside and get into his truck. He wanted to say this, but he didn’t want to ruin the moment the adults were having together. The look they exchanged gave him gentle thrills of curiosity.

Deleted user

Micah took a deep breath and squeezed Olive's hand one good time. "Alright. Let's do this." He smiled, leading her back to the main desk. She handed the papers over, a bright smile on her lips.

Deleted user

The lady looked up, mirroring the smile. “All done? Good! I’ll take a look at them. Until then, you can help Met pack up, if ypu’d like.”

Deleted user

"Alright." Olive answered. She turned to the two. "Gentlemen, we should get to packing." She announced. "If you could kindly lead the way to your room so we can get your things, it would be much appreciate." Olive flourished a hand toward Met. Micah snorted in laughter.
