Met rolled his eyes at her and started spooning a small amount of mashed potato on his plate. Weird. She’s weird.
Met rolled his eyes at her and started spooning a small amount of mashed potato on his plate. Weird. She’s weird.
Xara regained her composure as she walked back into the kitchen. She took some mashed potatoes and just stared at them.
Met glanced up as he grabbed a bit of chicken and stuck it into his mouth. Is she okay? Did she go do cocaine while she was in there?
"I'm fine," Xara suddenly said, then, realizing Met hadn't said anything, turned bright red and put her head on the table. This was going worse than before.
Aaaaaaaaahhhhh caught cha. He grinned manically and went back to his food. That is what he would call entertainment.
She poked at her mashed potatoes, checking her phone for any news from Suri. Still nothing. How long do movies take?
Met finished with his plate and nibbled on a few more spoonfuls of potato before finishing. He never really ate that much.
Eventually, Xara realized she wasn't going to be able to eat. She sighed and left the table after muttering, "excuse me."
Met grunted his response, grabbing another bit of chicken. It was really quite good.
Xara paced around the living room, unsure of what to do with herself.
Met heard her pacing with an annoyed expression, huffing over his mouthful. Why couldn’t he just eat in silence? Why did his twin feel the need to leave him with a babysitter?
Xara sat down in her chair and checked to make sure Met wasn't looking before making her book zoom over to her.
Met heard fingers slapping a cover of a book and jumped, looking over. What the hell was that?
Xara quickly opened her book and pretended to read, while hoping Met hadn't seen anything. Dammit, I should've been more careful
Met rolled his eyes at her thoughts again and went back to He food. He slowly glanced up at the pie, licking his lips. When was the last time he had pie?
Xara tried to read her book, but the words just kept swimming around her head. Not this again. She needed to go for a walk, but she wasn't rude enough to leave her guest alone in her apartment.
Met stood and carefully scooted to the stove, ere the pie sat for him. He wanted it all. But why would he eat it all? He’d gain like, a million pounds from it.
Xara felt like she was going crazy. Screw politeness. "Met, I need to go for a walk, I'll be back in a bit." She called.
Met chewed on his lip as he slowly reached for the pie. “Oh, alright,” He called back idly, grabbing up his fork and sitting again.
Xara grabbed her keys and ran downstairs, not stopping until she had gotten outside, when she leaned against the wall and closed her eyes, breathing in the fresh air
Would he save some pie? Or just eat it? Well, the latter was rude. Despite how rude she was, he didn’t want to return it. Or… did he?
Xara walked to the park and checked to make sure no one was around before tossing some pinecones around.
So he started to eat it. He plunged his fork right in the middle like the animal he was and started to stuff his face.
Xara walked back quickly and as soon as she got inside the apartment, she collapsed on her chair, on the verge of blacking out.
Met glanced up from the pie when she entered, the jelly smudging his nose, face, and hands. He shrugged, then went back to the half-eaten pie.
Xara glanced up and saw Met eating the pie. She walked into the kitchen and not-quite-yelled, "you ate half of my pie?!" But since she was too tired to really care, she got a fork and ate some herself.
Met jumped and blushed visibly, spluttering and losing all of the confidence he had in himself. His stuttering abruptly stopped when she started eating after him, blinking.
Xara ignored this and kept eating the pie, spacing out on the wall.
“Um… are you okay?” The young adult asked slowly.
"Mm," Xara said, not really paying attention. Damn, I make a good pie, she thought.
