(Ughhhhhhhh another county near us always gets days off and never has to make them up. We always complain when we go to school on a delay or whatever and they have off.

It was after school, and the bell woke up Tobias like an alarm clock. He rose slowly with a loud yawn, stretching and shouldering his bag. He had decided to stay after school for his prelab research with Robyn. His parents were excited for him, which at the thought just made Tobias roll his eyes. They wouldn’t do anything, just research.

Robyn walked into the library with her backpack slung over her shoulder. She glanced around for Tobias, making her way over to him when she’d found him.

“Hey. You ready to study?” she asked with her usual smile.

Tobias had been setting up his things when she entered, and he looked up with a bored expression. “Yep. And we gotta complete that lab. I don’t want to fall behind.”

“Of course,” Robyn chirped, sitting down in an empty seat near him. “We should probably do that first, huh?”

Tobias nodded and finished with a set of flash cards and set them at his elbow. “Yes. It’s a good idea, since we had Chem not too long ago. Do you have the stuff you usually study with you?

“Yeah, it’s in my backpack,” Robyn said, pulling the backpack from the back of her chair and setting it in her lap. She rifled through it and took some things out, placing them on the table. “All right. Do you want to start or should I?”

Tobias rose the lab and wiggled it in the air. “Lab first, Robyn. Now. I guess we both can read through the prelab and discuss the questions after we read.”

“Sounds good,” Robyn agreed, chuckling a little. “Or one of us could read it aloud. Up to you.”

(I don’t know what I’m doing. Lol. I don’t study with others… Or do labs…)

(Lmao, don’t worry I don’t either. Well, study with people. I do do labs.)

Tobias shrugged. “Do you learn better that way? If so we could if you want.”

Robyn shook her head. “Not really, no. So reading it to ourselves sounds fine.”

Tobias flipped to the front and picked up a highlighter. “Sounds good,” He hummed softly as he started to read.
