He snickers behind his hand

"Are you laughing at me?"

"Keep looking," she urged, her eyes searching as well.

Maria sighed through her nose and shook her head. "Clint…"

"No!" she teased, sounding firm.

She shook her head. "Nothing."

"Owch." He shuts his mouth from laughing.

"Why do people do that? 'Clint. What? Mmmm nothing.'" He mocks

She looked at him. "If you laugh, you get arrested!"

She wrinkled her nose. "I do NOT sound like that…"

"Oh no. I'm so scared." He says in a mocking, sing song voice

He rolls his eyes but doesnt say anything else

"I will arrest you personally!"

"Don't roll your eyes! That's not what I sound like!"

"Oh no. How scary. Especially since you are bed ridden at the moment." He lsughs

"Yeah yeah what ever."

"I will get out of bed and arrest you. YOU LAUGHED!"

She exhaled sharply through her nose and looked back at the screen. "Stop distracting me."

"Yeah just try." He doesnt move, smirking.

"What?!!"

She reached for his wrist.

"Aren't we trying to find out how they're making this new energy?"

He jumps up to his feet, laughing

"I was."

She pounted. "Meanie!"

"Then stop getting sidetracked."

"You should be resting." He laughs

"Says the one who is almost fainted."

"Stop bullying me!" she teased, unable to hide her smile.

"I didn't faint!" she retorted.

He laughs.

"From exhaustion yes."

"Stop laughing!" she cried through laughs of her own.

She pressed her lips together. "I'm fine," she said quietly.

He snickers, "Alright though seriously. You need to rest."

"Are you though? Are you?"

She sighed. "Don't go…"

"Yes!" she cried. "God, I don't know why everyone thinks I can't handle myself!"

"I'm not?"

"Because you are exhausted. And can hardly think."

"Okay. You sounded like you were gonna go."

"I can think perfectly well," she mumbled.

"Not if you are this tired."

"Did I say something wrong?" Kate asked worriedly.
