Fae chewed on her thumbnail anxiously, considering this. “Are you sure your tio would be fine with it?”

"He'd make me keep my door open," he responded.

Fae let out a tiny snort, but hesitated right after. “Promise… promise we won’t… do Anything?” A touch of fear mingled with her voice.

"Not at all." He promised firmly.

After a moments hesitation, she nodded. “Okay then. I’m down for staying over.”

"Thank you," he sighed with relief.

“No problem.” She sat up, the light of the dying sun illuminating her face.

His dark eyes softened, "You are so beautiful,"

A blush bloomed to life on her cheeks and an infinitely happy smile appeared in her face. She leaned against him, slipping one arm around his side. “Not as beautiful as you.”

He found this mildly funny, "You think me muy bella?" He snickered.

“Mm.”

"Why's that?"

“Because ‘handsome’ is too weak a word for it.”

"Awe." He lifted his chin proudly.

She smiled, pressing a kiss to his cheek. His stubble tickled her lips.

"Mm." He hummed happily.

"Sure."

“Fae leaned against Cruz’s shoulder with a small sigh, content.

He usually slept without a shirt, but since she was over his uncle made him dress almost fully, except for socks. So a thin white t-shirt covered his torso.

Fae had run back to her house to back a small bag, and was wearing cute black and white flannel pyjamas. She usually just slept in a bra and a sweater, but she was decidedly not going to do that tonight. She found his hand and laced her fingers through his.
