She opened the car door, sitting in the passenger seat again. “What’s wrong?” She asked softly.

"Nothing…I promise."

“Okay. I’m going to get my car, yeah? And then I’m driving to my place. Why don’t you follow me in your car? You can hang out at my place while I get ready. And then I get park my car at my house, and we’ll take your car. Okay?” She spoke gently, calm and soft. She did a quick scan of the people walking by. She didn’t see anything, but what would she know? She’d only known him for a few days. He could know anyone of these people and she’d have no idea.

"Sure. Sounds like a plan."

“Okay.” She got back out and walked to her car. She kept glancing back at him every few steps. When she reachered her car, she unlocked it and got in, turning the key in the ignition. Eden looked to see if Jack was ready to follow.

He stretched and waited for her to lead the way.

She backed out, turning in the direction of her house. She checked to see if Jack’s car was behind her as she drove.

He was following. He sighs.

She pulled up to her place, parking. She got out and waited for Jack to pull up too.

He pulls in and hops out.

Eden smiled, “Do you want to come in and wait?”

"I don't mind coming in for a few minutes."

“Cool, come on.” Eden opened up the door, letting him in. She made a bee line to her bedroom. “You can just sit wherever, snack if you so wish,” she called as she made her way down the hall.

"Thanks…" He wasn't used to talking this much so his voice cracked.

Eden noticed the voice crack, but she didn’t know if she should acknowledge it or not. She was changing clothes as she debated whether or not it would be better to address it or not to make a big deal out of it.

Jack sits on the couch and waits for her.

She pops out after changing clothes, brushing her hair. She just came out so he wasn’t sitting out there alone.

Jack coughs and smiles. 'Cute' he typed.

Eden shuffled over to read, blushing. “Mmhm hm,” she chuckled. She sat down on the coffee table across from him, all the while brushing the gross knots out of her hair. She was wearing some black band t-shirt from his school. Her jeans were black, too. Oh my god, she thought, I look like a scene kid.

Jack sneezes quietly. "…"

“Bless you.” She made an over exaggerated sign of the cross over him. “You sick or something?” She joked.

'No. I'm not sick.' He laughs.

Eden laughed, “Good. I’d hate for you to be sick.” She finished brushing her hair, now wondering what to do with it. “Up or down?” She asked him.
