A man and a woman in suits came around the warehouse and spotted Ben and Violet 'smoking' by the van. They approached and the man gave them a casual way. "Hey. We're law enforcement agents in the area tracking a… car theft." He flipped out his badge to show them. "Have you seen anyone suspicious around here?"

@chickenfrogman group

Ben looks over the people, squinting at them while Violet shakes her head.
"No, I don't think so. Caspian?" She turns to Ben and he shakes his head.
(Remember, they wear pretty nice clothes so they don't look like creepy smokers XD)
Who on earth? A car theft, sure. Whatever.

@lisapickle

The woman pulled out a device and nodded her head toward the van. "We're not looking for a van but, you know, we'll just run your plate anyway, if you don't mind?" she scanned the license plate. "Can't be too careful."
The man looked them up and down. "What are you kids doing out here by this old warehouse anyway? There's nothing around for miles."

@chickenfrogman group

Ben gives the girl a glare, blowing some smoke, and Violet answers.
She nods towards the sunset.
"Best place to watch the sun set is away from the city lights."
Ben still glares, though not being obvious.
Just leave. I'll burn you, just leave.
(staystaystay)

@lisapickle

The woman finished running the plate. The name attached matched the name Violet had called Ben. She gave a nod to the man and put her device away. The man turned to gaze toward the western sky and nodded amiably. "True that. I'm so busy working all the time I don't know when the last time I saw a sunset." He glanced toward them again. "Say you don't mind if we stick around? We'll take a glance around the property for our car thief and then maybe watch that sunset with you."

Silver crept to the top of the first staircase, leaving Cage and Leo and Hush and Dash downstairs to keep practicing. She crouched at the top of the stairs and below the second staircase leading to outside, trying to sense more of what was happening outside.

@chickenfrogman group

Just stickin' leave.
Violet looks a bit disappointed, pursing her lips and fidgeting with her hands. She leans against Ben, taking his arm.
"We were hoping to be alone… but there's an empty field twenty miles east perfect for watching."
Ben tries his hardest not to blush, leaning against the car with Violet leaning on him.

(lol, like Steve and Natasha in The Winter Soldier)("Yeah, we're getting married")(XD)

@lisapickle

(XDDD)

The man glanced between the two of them and smiled. "Ahhh, of course. Well, we'll leave you to your young love then." He and the woman walked off, making a show of looking around the property, and then ambled back around to the other side of the building and toward the road. Once they were back to their vehicle, the man turned to the woman.
"Did you get it? Was that enough time?"
The woman whipped a different device and pressed a few buttons. "Yep, scan complete. They're elementals. Didn't get a accurate headcount, but there's more than just those two."
He nodded. "I'll call in backup then."

Silver had her eyes pinched shut, hands in front of her, trying to follow them. They were nearly out of her sphere when they stopped. She couldn't hear them talking, but there was a spike in her consciousness when they powered up the device. Oh no.

@chickenfrogman group

Violet lets go of Ben and takes a few steps away.
"A scan?" She asks.
He sighs and nods.
"Those stupid people come here, finding our hideout before we've even got a whole day in it." He growls.
Violet takes the cigarettes and trashes them after putting them out.
"It's okay. We'll just…" Her voice wanders off and she sighs.
Ben rolls his eyes. "You know what? I don't care what we do. Let's just get inside for now, I'm freezing."
They head back to the door, uncovering it and climbing in. Once inside, Ben cranks the heat up and puts his coat on, angrily flopping onto the couch.
"They'll be back." He growls under his breath, along with some Russian words.
Violet hangs her coat up and turns the heat back down.
"I know, I know. I'll talk to the kids and see if we can get out tonight."
She walks to the bookshelf, removing The Book Thief, scanning a paper from her wallet, then goes to go downstairs. She jumps at the sight of Silver.
"Oh my, you frightened me." She states, a hand on her chest.

@lisapickle

Silver scrambled to her feet. "Are you okay? What happened? I was trying to sense what was going on but I couldn't hear anything. Who were they?" She gushed.

@chickenfrogman group

Violet starts down the stairs, letting the door close behind her.
"Fake cops. They show up around us a lot. They did a scan, probably of heat signatures? Down here is a bit deep for them to be able to catch your guy's signatures much, but they probably got an idea that there were more. Especially since the elements make us easier to find."

@lisapickle

"So are they coming back?" Silver followed her down the stairs. "Where's Ben? Is he okay? What do we do now?"

(she havin a concern)

@chickenfrogman group

Violet nods.
"Yes, love, they're definitely coming back. We need to relocate. Beni is upstairs, I'm sure he's just- just thinking."
She reaches the bottom of the stairs and looks over the group, running her hands through her hair and huffing.
"Alright!" She calls. "I need your attention, please."
(Lol, I can tell)(Ben is probably actually having a bad anxiety on the couch.)

@lisapickle

Silver crossed her arms tightly, rubbing her hands up and down her forearms. She'd never experienced anything like this before because she was always in closer hiding than the others. Violet seemed to know what she was doing. Silver rubbed her head and frowned. Maybe Ben was just thinking, but she wasn't going to let him think by himself. Especially after the show of his temper he'd made earlier. Silver quietly crept back up the stairs, making sure Violet didn't see her. When she reached the door, she had to figure out how to open it, since Violet and Ben seemed to be in the habit of locking them down there.

@Bandito

"We should just stay on the move," Dash says, smoothly and clearly for once. "Hotels might be safe for a day, camping outside should be safe for a day if no one is spying through the air, sleeping in the van should be safe for a day. Or, we could just make up our minds on what we're going to do other than hide right now."

@chickenfrogman group

Violet puts her hands together.
"I think being on the run gives us a disadvantage of not being familiar with the current surrounding. What about a trap? We need a temporary home for the night, but while there we should think of a trap. If they think we're here, then they'll come back."

@chickenfrogman group

Silver slowly pushed the door open and peeked into the main room, looking for Ben.

Ben sits in the far corner now, but on the marble floor. He has the collar of his coat covering the tip of his nose and his mouth, and his face is a little splotchy and red (prolly from tears, dear boi). His hair is down and around his face, and his knees are against his chest. A heat wave encases him.

@lisapickle

Silver carefully closed the door behind her, trying to keep it from making noise. She padded into the kitchen and poured a cup of coffee, then made her way through the main room toward Ben. She felt the heat the closer she got, but she stepped into it anyway and sat down beside him, setting the coffee cup beside his foot.

@Bandito

"None of us but you and Ben are familiar with the surroundings right now," Hush says flatly, watching the door. "It's a disadvantage, but one we're used to. Or should be. We already thought of a trap, Ben thinks it's predictable. But really, what other choice do we have? Face them head on and get-taken again? Run away for the rest of our lives? We can wait for them to come back, and as they chase one of us the others can come from behind, below, above, anywhere. We're obviously powerful enough to beat up two humans, it can't be hard if we have the element of surprise." (Haha get it element of surprise)

@chickenfrogman group

(Awwwwwh)(:3)
Don't sniffle, you idiot. Do. Not. Sniffle.
He sniffles, picking up the coffee and sitting cross-legged. He remains leaned a bit forward, one hand on the ground and one holding the coffee. His breathing is sharp, jerky and inconsistent and his lips pale. (poor boi)
It's built up for too long. Blast it, Benjamin.
He gulps, looking into the void of the ground and heating up.
It hurts.

(Anxiety and fire element don't go well together)
