Her eyes widened happily "Really? After dinner I think that we should go find one, you can take a video of my reaction," She said, a grin forming on her face as she started to plan.
Her eyes widened happily "Really? After dinner I think that we should go find one, you can take a video of my reaction," She said, a grin forming on her face as she started to plan.
"As long as I get to record and not eat, I'm in!" he nodded in agreement "we're definitely going now."
She nodded "Definitely," She grinned and tapped her finger against the table, waiting for the food.
"so when did you start singing?" He asked, trying to create conversation
"Well, I was in choir in Middle and High school, but i didn't really do much until my senior year. They were doing a musical in theater and I decided to try out since it seemed fun and since a friend had dared me to, the same one that talked me out of eating the pepper." She glanced at him and smiled "I got the role as one of the main performers and people started commenting on how good of a singer I was, I brushed most of the comments off, figuring that they were just because people wanted to become friends with one of the stars of the play. After we had performed the play for the last time I realized that I wanted to have a job in singing and acting and that's really how I ended up where I am now."
He nodded to what she was saying and smiled "that's amazing, and good for you, not dropping out of something you love. I've seen friends try something, love it, then leave it. In many cercumstances actually, not just job opportunities." He glanced up at her and blushed slightly
She nodded and smiled at him, "So, what about you? How did you end up working at the studio?"
He sighed and shifted in his seat, "Theo's my brother, I was looking for a job at 16 and he offered me a job as a studio manager. I said yes, not know how to sing or how to interact with other people. He told me about a dying program with the kids but did nothing about it, so I decided to try it out myself. Worked out pretty good until their parents start hitting on me, but it's a minor thing."
"Hitting on you?" She raised an eyebrow sightly, "That's a minor thing?" She smiled and chuckled lightly "Did you do anything about it?"
He nodded "oh yeah, told them if they comtinued, I'd call their husbands." He smiled "are you concerned about me getting hit on by other people?"
"Maybe…possibly…" She said, blushing lightly, "A little bit…yeah…" She focused on the table and felt herself blush harder, a small smile making its way onto her face.
He smiled at her as she blushed "don't worry about it, I wouldn't do that to you. You heard what my cousin said, she'd kill me." He took her hand in his "I swear to you I will never leave you like I've seen people do."
She smiled and looked at their hands, intertwining her fingers with his, "I know this is a little early, but what if we don't work out and I decide that it's best for us to go our separate ways?" She looked back at the table, keeping her hand with his.
"is that a Journey reference?" He smiled and lightly squeezed her hand "then I'll be there every moment we're together, then." He promised
"It might have been a Journey reference along with an actual question, I'm not gonna tell you." She looked up at him again, a small grin on her face.
He grinned "haha, very funny." he shook his head and fiddled with her fingers
She laughed lightly, the grin still on her face, "So, any more questions?" She asked, watching him with a smile.
He thought for a moment "do I have competition?"
She shook her head "Not currently," Scarlett smiled "And for me? Anyone else catching your eye?"
"Other than you, no." he said seriously "and no one will."
She smiled softly and nodded, squeezing his hand lightly, "So, tell me about yourself."
"ok, what would you like to know?" he asked, glancing at her
"Anything, your family, your childhood, anything really," She said with a shrug, looking around the restaurant.
"My family, ha, that's a complicated one. My mother died when me and Theo were both young from cancer and our dad wasn't around much. We were raised by our aunt and her husband. While my brother was out making his own life, I helped out in the house and raised the younger kids. That's how me and Lindsey got so close. After a while, I left for our local Music college and got my teaching degree in that area. Now I'm here," He glanced over at her "and how about you? how'd you end up singing like an angel?"
She blushed slightly and looked at him, "I wouldn't say I sing like an angel, more like…a normal human being that's just trying to make a living from their hobby." She smiled "And I already told you how I got here, my family and life is pretty boring besides that."
He shrugged "angels come in different ways." he glanced up as Lindsey came over with the food and smiled "finally, I'm starved."
"Time to try this spicy burger," Scarlett said, bouncing in her chair like a little kid with a smile, "Thanks Lindsey."
she nodded "no prob, and for the Jassie, …shrimp." she winked and walked away with a grin. He rolled his eyes and threw a french fry at her
She laughed and looked at him, picking up one of the fries from her plate and looking at it, "Alright, first spicy fry, then I'm going to try the burger." She popped it in her mouth quickly with a small smile.
He watched with a smile "spicy?" he asked, now kinda curious
