(well then)
(angst!) Michael began to panic. He couldn't be back here, no, he wasn't. It was all a dream, or some sort of crafty illusion. Suddenly something grabbed his tail and dragged him backwards. He let out a screech of protest, looking back at the thing. It looked like an inky, smoldering replica of his mother, angry scowl and murderous eyes and all. He flailed, trying to drag himself away from it. He looked down, and all of a sudden he was free falling, enormous needles and razor blades flinging themselves around him as the thing dragged him down through the sky
ouch!
The shadow-Faerie grew, reching towards her. "Please…", she whimpered.
(ayy robo)
Asura pawed at the ground, flapping his wings. He couldn't get an inch off of the ground. He tried desperately to emit flames to keep himself warm, but the wind kept blowing it out. He shivered, knowing that it was only a matter of minutes before frostbite set in. After that, he would be immobile, and would die.
Matt kicked out in the air as his hands held the rope from being entirely against his neck. A beer bottle smashed against the back of his head and showered him with the fizzing poison. He closed his eyes as the liquid poured over his face and eyes and coughed as it tried entering his lungs. "OW!" He kicked out again as there was a quick, sharp and burning pain that arose on his arm, and then another, and another. "NO" He attempted to turn his body away from the flying razors, only to be hit with a wall of smoke, itching his nostrils and re-opening old burning sensations in his lungs. "No, n-no" he began coughing intensely as the slicing pain continued onto his legs and torso.
Michael hurtled downwards, an enormous razor blade catching his side. It cut a line down his midsection, and he shrieked in pain. He was terrified, he couldn't speak, could barely think, could barely do anything but fall. The thing that looked like his mother was burning his tail as it dragged him, and he could distantly see the maw of some giant creature open below him. The maw of something that looked just like his true form. Fluttering debris cut into him and he could only think one thing.
"STOP!" he yelled. Suddenly, the whistling wind died down, and he found himself lying on the floor somewhere
(I may have gone too far. I'll just have him pass out to spare him sorry)
(I feel like Asura is the least angsty character right now. Also I have an idea)
Maudie's voice suddenly filled everybody's head. "This is too easy for you guys, you're not struggling enough. I've added a new rule. Each time you die, it will be even more difficult to escape your room, and even more painful. Good luck." She giggled and disappeared.
("not struggling enough" oh no)
(naw Red you're fine, do what you want) Michael rolled to his stomach, hissing at the cut on his side. It had begun to bleed some sort of black fluid, and some of it dripped from his maw. He felt cold and numb, anxiety creeping its way through his body. He laid there for a moment, taking a bit to look around. He seemed to have landed in a hallway, each lined with identical doors. The girl from before, Maudie, was standing at the end of the hallway giggling
(sorry I just made Maudie torture your characters even more lol)
Asura growled, feeling the skin under his fur begin to burn. He couldn't move his body, and there was pain all over. The wind got stronger. A thin layer of ice was starting to cover his body. He exhaled, and the world went dark.
(naw it's cool Michael was gonna suffer from the beginning lol) Michael dragged himself up, glaring at Maudie as best he could without eyes. "You…You're gonna pay for that," he spat out. She just giggled.
"Tell you what. I'll let you off easy. Four of these doors lead to the other cells. Pick one of their doors and you get to help them. Pick wrong, and, well." She put a hand in front of her neck and made a dead-sounding noise
(a dead sounding noise XD)
Asura gasped, his entire body tensing. He was now in a different room, and it was no longer cold. In the distance, he could hear Maudie. "One life down, two to go…" Asura cursed and stood up, looking around. The air had a strange metallic sound, and the room was very dim. He was belly deep in something that felt like water.
(… can you please not do that? or at least include a trigger warning before you do?)
(ah shit sorry that's just gonna go away now)
(yeah no I don't know what the sound is for the death gesture lol) Sam tried to move but realized that he was out of magic for this life. The ghost cackled at the end of the hallway. "Tick tock Balthazar, your first life is almost gone." If Michael had the ability to flip the ghost off, he would. Slowly, he began to drag himself down the hall as well as a sea creature could. He looked at all the doors. No lights, no sounds, no way to tell what door was what. But then he saw something shimmer behind Maudie. His loose jaw crooked in a grin.
"No, I think I'm about to level up."
(im sorry I just really dont like seeing things like that)
(There. Gone. No more suffering Matty. I'm so sorry about that)
(its okay)
(oh man I'm a little concerned bc I didn't see it)
(No no you're right. I'm sorry)
(I think that's a good thing. It was really upsetting, at least for me)
(alrighty I have no idea what happened but ok)
Asura focused his flames on his legs, trying to get a better look at the liquid. It was red and heavy, clinging to his fur. He continued forward, squinting in the dim light. Up ahead was a human figure slouched against a wall.
Mozos looked around the room, and stopped. There was a throne in the center of the room, and on it sat the colossal form of his father. He stared directly in to the eyes of the powerful being and faltered. He could actually die here. His own powers were nothing to scoff at, but it was like comparing a torch and a bonfire. He took a small step back as the large Demon rose from his seat.
(gtg now, be back in like half an hour maybe)
oh no!)
Lavender was pinned to an experimentation table, a knife being slowly and excruciatingly sunken into her stomach again and again. Her mouth was gagged and her eyes were wild with pain and terror as the Faerie began to slowly saw her head off. There was no relief from the pain, no painkillers. She could barely think as the knife cut deeper and deeper into her throat.
