"So? I could make it rain 100 dollar bills from the ceiling if I wanted. Therefore, there's no point in me having the jar."

She sighed in frustration, leaning back and looking down. "Well then how the fuck am I supposed to repay you? I don't have money or magic. All I can do is give you more scones and coffee."

"I don't need this." Matt pushed the jar back towards Amber with a crisp $100 on top. "That's for all the trouble and the cup youn' lady. I don't have much use for moneh either" He paused. "I may dress like a homeless pixie and act like a drunken baboon, but I know a thing or two about gettin' places and such." He waved his hand in the air, at one point flipping off Sam but continued anyways.

"Well you could let me sleep in the back room till this storm blows over. And feed me more scones and coffee," he said, eating the last scone for emphasis

She pushed the money back to the drunk guy wordlessly. "It's a deal," she said to Sam, grabbing more scones from the cupboard.

"Awesome. I'm stuck in this miserable town until the storm blows over." He fiddled with one of his rings absently. "Hate this damn dimension," he added quietly

(wait maybe we can make a story based off of that)
"Excuse you?" She said. "This dimension is by far my favorite, you take that back."

Sam looked up. "What? Oh. Well, a few pulses ago when there was less damn water it was lovely."

"Well if you don't like water, then build a castle in the desert or something."

"Euck. Deserts are so overrated. You get sand everywhere. No, I've got a lovely palace in the walls of a lovely city, thank you."

"Go jump in a volcano then," she said, slightly regretting it once she realized how rude that was.

"Gimme the goddam scones lightweight," he said, chucking a rolled up 10 at her

She threw it back at him. "Why do you keep giving me money?" she asked, holding the tray of scones away from me.

"Because it seems to be the one thing your species accepts as payment, now gimme the food!" he said, grabbing at the tray

"Jeez Louise Sammy calm your tits. They're just delicious scones." Matt grinned evilly. "I would be a shame if something were to happen to them…"

He whipped around. "You better not touch them you alcohol-ridden history teacher."

"It'd be a blessin' for my eyes to even look at them so you bet your galactic ass that I'm gonna touch." Matt playfully reached over the edge and towards the tray of scones, ready to jump out of his seat if necessary.

"Hey, back off, these are my scones too," she said turning and placing them on a table behind her, out of reach of the two men.
