"Okay, what's next?" Celeste says after she finished, her mouth a bit dry.
"Okay, what's next?" Celeste says after she finished, her mouth a bit dry.
Lillith set a cup of tea down in front of Celeste, attempting to discretely pour vodka into her own. "Not sure. Probably wait for the news to blow up."
"We gotta have a plan of some kind" said Arthur.
"Oh yeah. I'm a princess… ughhh…" Celeste slouches in her chair. "Sorry if you're expecting me to have perfect manners; I don't. They just want me to be perfect in public."
"Idea!" She took a drink of her tea before continuing. "Let's go into town, and keep an ear to the ground. We need more bread, anyway."
"No one can be perfect all the time" said Arthur calmly.
"Sure… I mean, I may have to be better disguised than this," She gestured to her clothing, "but I'll come with you guys. Beats staying here being bored."
"Cut your hair." She suggested.
Celeste jolts upright in her seat, "WHAT!? But I-" She thinks for a moment, and looks down. "Fine. I can't cut my hair myself, though, or it'll look like a bird's nest."
"And dye it" said Arthur pulling a vial out of his pocket.
"I'll help you cut it, if you need. Might not be the best job, but it'll do."
"Messier it is the better" said Arthur, "Make you less recognizable"
"What color? Black? Brown?" Celeste wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea. "And I'll probably need a name in public, too…"
"I like naming things! What kinda name you thinkin'?" She perked up, oddly excited at that prospect.
"This'll change it," said Arthur, "No idea what color though," he said holding out the vial.
"Um… A name that isn't too long, maybe something like Trixie or Sam?"
"It better not be a bright color, Arthur, or I'll kill you" Celeste jokes.
"You just disqualified all my good ideas now i'm upset." Lillith said, obviously not upset.
"it'll keep you hidden and that's what matters" said Arthur firmly.
"Well, I didn't get a chance to hear them, so tell me. I didn't mean to disqualify them."
"Nah, they're old already. How 'bout Grace? Short and simple, and common enough."
"Sounds perfect to me" said Arthur with a nod
Liberty had fallen asleep on the table, light snores falling from her mouth. She hadn’t gotten much sleep last night, and that was evident from the bags under her eyes.
"Sure! I like that." Celeste nods.
"Should we wake Liberty, or let her get some sleep?" Lillith asked, looking over at Liberty.
"Meh, she looks exhausted. Unless she wants to, I'd say leave her be."
"Probably for the best. If I tried to wake her anyway, she might set me on fire. Which would be fun, but I really need to stop ruining my clothes." She sighed, knocking back the rest of the drink in her cup.
Celeste chuckles. "Okay, but whatever you do, don't murder my hair… I take a lot of pride in its long length."
"I'll just leave the hair thing to you ladies" said Arthur leaving the Vial on the table. "Be careful with that, it'll stain skin as well as hair."
"Ladies." Lillith laughed to herself as she dug around a drawer for the scissors.
