"Sending a note to my mom." he folded it up and let it fly. " he then grasped the necklace Luma gave him once again, "Ready to go back?"

“We can stay if you want…..”

"Nah…" said Rykah, "I've never had much of a life here…. not since…" he trailed off. "Either way, I just want what you want right now"

“Then let’s go back to my place.”

Rykah nodded, summoning the portal, and bringing them right back to Will's room.

Jack came into the room. “What happened?” He asked, noticing Will’s face.

"Just emotions" said Rykah, "We were just talking to my mom, and then getting some breakfast"

Anna came in, looking for Jack. When she saw Will’s red face, she immediately looked at Rykah. “What’d you do?!” She growled.

"Nothing!" said Rykah helplessly, "All I did was make sure my mom wouldn't murder me, and then take Will out for a peaceful breakfast, which was the original plan to begin with!"

“Peaceful breakfast doesn’t usually entail my little brother crying.”
“We’re the same age, Anna.” Jack reminded her.
“He didn’t do anything, Anna.” Will said, putting his hands on her shoulders. She took this as an opportunity to feel his forehead and check on his nose.
“Are you feeling okay?” She asked, having completely forgotten that she was mad at Rykah.
Will nodded.
“You’re hot.”
Jack felt too, and nodded his affirmation.

Rykah just scooted away, letting Jack and Anna do their thing, and trying to avoid their wrath. But he was also watching in case Will wanted him back over there.

“I’ll be right back.” Anna said, after Jack whispered something that was unintelligible to Will.
Jack looked at Will carefully, studying him. “How’s your nose?”
“It’s fine…..”
“You have a fever. Anna’s going to get a cooling potion, then I want you in bed.” Jack said, looking at Rykah in a way that meant, Take care of him.

Rykah nodded, I wasn't planning on leaving him anyway he thought, happy for the excuse to stay.

Anna handed the bright blue potion to Will, before Jack pulled her out of the room.
Once his siblings were gone, Will put the drink on his table and rolled his eyes.

"You should probably drink that" said Rykah,

“I’m fine. Don’t need it.” Will’s words were already getting choppy.

"I think you do Will" said Rykah grabbing the glass.

Will grumpily turned away from Rykah, sitting on his bed and facing the wall.

"Aw come on baby" said Rykah, "please?"

Will frowned. He took the bottle and drank some.

"Good" said Rykah taking the bottle and putting it on the desk.

Will shifted uncomfortably so that he was laying down. While being upset earlier, he hadn’t quite realized that he felt terrible.

Rykah pulled Will up on top of him, cuddling him.

“I don’t feel good, Ry.”

"Well I'm here to make you feel better" said Rykah, letting a bit of soothing healing aura course through the other boy.

Will buried his face in Rykah’s shoulder, and attempted to fall asleep.

Rykah curled himself around Will, just wanting the other boy to be happy for once.

Once Will had been asleep for a little while, Jack knocked on his door. “He ok?” He whispered.

"I don't think he's feeling the greatest, but he should be fine" said Rykah twisting a little.

“Good.” Jack made to leave, but then stuck his head back in, “Thank you, Rykah.”
